Plot: It's always been okay for him to be the person in a relationship who loves more.
Note: This is
akhikaru 's fault, and also learashi , with their prompt tables and awesome drabble series <3 I've decided to treat this like a challenge. I'm using a prompt-table from lj, and will write these drabbles as they come to my mind, withoug planning anything in advance. It's going to be one story in the end, but the drabbles won't be posted in the correct timeline.
“I didn’t want it to turn out that way,” Ohno says quietly. “Jun.”
Jun sits on his packed bag, he looks tired. There is nothing of his normally rather positive expression that Ohno knows. It struck Ohno as a surprise when he came home this day, and Jun has been waiting for him, his things packed, his decision apparently definite.
Ohno was surprised when he saw him like this. Two hours later of discussing and arguing and yelling, he feels tired too. “Why?” Ohno finally asks. “Things weren’t perfect, I know that, but why are you going?”
Jun snorts, and it sends little daggers through Ohno’s stomach. “Don’t you find it funny how you are not even asking me to stay?” he answers, voice colder than usual. “You are confused now, but you don’t want me to stay.”
“This is ridiculous Jun, and you know it.”
“Is it?” Jun frowns.
Ohno licks his lips. He opens his mouth, like he wants to prove Jun that he is wrong. He wants to tell him to stay, to remain at his side. He wants to tell him that they are going to work it out. Stay. But he can’t. He is shocked himself when he realizes he can’t.
Jun looks down at his feet sadly. “See,” he mumbles.
Something behind Ohno’s eyelids burn. “What did I do that you go so suddenly?” he mumbles. He shakes his head stubbornly. “I refuse to accept this. I want an explanation.”
“You refuse?” Sudden anger is flashing Jun’s eyes. “Satoshi-kun! Next time be more careful who you talk to and what you say, because someone might actually listen.”
Ohno’s eyes snap open. Hear what? What did Jun hear? His eyes widen… he heard that? “Jun…”
“No, seriously,” Jun looks tired. “Stop lying to yourself. I’m just doing what you didn’t have the courage for.”
Something in Ohno’s head screams, like he wishes he could shake himself. “Let’s take a break,” he hears himself say. Because taking a break to figure out how to continue is better than Jun leaving like this and hating him forever.
Jun frowns.
Ohno licks his lips. “Let’s go separate ways for a while and figure out what we want. Please, Jun. Please, don’t make it end like this.”
Jun sighs. “Call me in one month.” He grabs his bag and turns to leave. Before he goes though, he throws a glance back at Ohno. “It’s funny.” He chuckles bitterly. “I know what I wanted and want all this time. I don’t need a month to know that I love you. It’s you who needs to figure things out.”
A/N: This Jun here is older than the one in the 1st drabble. And the older Jun is/was with Ohno, but it doesn't seem to turn out well either? So... what happened with Sho/Jun, we'll see (I'll see too, because I have not yet made my mind about much concerning this story :D)
I know this drabble is quite a jump in the timeline, but I'll fill in the holes gradually, I promise! <3
