Title: Beyond the night: Chapter 5
Pairing: Sho/Jun/Ohno, obviously Aiba and Nino appear too. Jun needs his bf Nino so that they can bitch about their stupid mates. :D
Rating: NC-17, will contain lots of interesting stuff ;-)
Genre: romance, smut, vampire!AU, did I mention smut?
Plot: Sho and Satoshi, two high-ranked vampires and companions for years, miraculously share the same mate. One fateful night they meet Jun, a vampire who is rather new to this world. The soulmate bond between them immediatly binds the three of them to each other naturally. Jun is a young vampire, slightly overstrained with the sudden intense bond between them, his mates' protectiveness of him, with life as a vampire and with his body and senses still adapting to his new life. With Sho and Satoshi being old and skilled in comparison to him, he feels even more at a loss and wishes to find a place in this world too, to be on eye-level with them.
Note: This is a belated birthday present for my lovely [personal profile] learashi <3 This is late, I'm so sorry, but now that I have finished a few chapters, I think I can dare to start posting it ^^

Jun feels soft fingers touching his shoulder. “Jun,” Sho whispers warmly, his fingers moving through Jun’s hair. “You need to get up.”

“Shut up,” Jun mumbles into his pillow. He feels drained and a little bit sore from the rough coupling between them, not in a bad way though, there is just no way he will get up now and move.

“You are sore and sticky,” Sho kisses his shoulder. “You will be so mad with me if I don’t make you clean up.”

“How am I supposed to move,” Jun grumbles. “You fucked me so hard that I don’t know how to get to the bathroom!”

“Is this the only problem?” Sho asks sweetly, before wrapping his arms around Jun and turning him on his back. He smiles warmly, pressing a kiss on Jun’s lips. Jun feels surprised, wondering what the heck his lover is up to now, when he feels himself being lifted up and carried out of the room and the bathroom.

Jun wriggles, face heating up in embarrassment. “Stop it,” he blurts out.

“Sh,” Sho says casually. “If you wriggle too much we’ll both drop down and get hurt, and we wouldn’t want that, would be?”

Jun tries to look anywhere but at Sho. “You idiot,” he complains half-heartedly.

“Wait till you are in the bathtub,” his lover answers softly. “I’ve used your favourite lavender oil. And there is a glass of wine, and chocolate.”

“Really?” Jun asks, his heart warming by how attentive Sho is.

The next moment Sho lets him down at the edge of the bathtub and Jun carefully slips into the warm water. His lower back aches, but the water and the oil work miracles, and he finds himself relaxing gradually. He looks up at Sho with a smile. “Join me?” he asks innocently.

Sho nods, not before looking at Jun in worry. “But no action anymore for today.”

“Tell that to yourself,” Jun snorts.

“I kinda did,” Sho admits before stripping off his bathrobe and joining Jun in the warmth. He sits behind Jun, wrapping his arms around him and pulling him against his chest. It feels so good to sit like this, to feel Sho’s warmth, to have him close to him. If Satoshi was there, it would be perfect.

Much to his surprise Jun suddenly feels melancholic, like this here is so perfect – or almost, because Satoshi is missing – that he is afraid to lose it again. He doesn’t deserve this. Compared to Sho and Satoshi he is such a tiny unimportant person. The most he can do is to let someone take photos of him, and even there he lacks the guts to even tell Sho. And-

“Hey,” Sho says, sudden worry in his voice. He strokes over Jun’s chest soothingly. “You are tensing up. What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” Jun says, hoping that his voice doesn’t betray him.

Sho doesn’t seem to be convinced, because his hands proceed to softly caressing Jun’s chest, warm lips kissing his neck. “Tell me,” he begs, voice soft and soothing while he pulls Jun closer to his chest.

Jun can’t say no when Sho is like that. So attentive. “It’s just… I’m a bit overwhelmed I guess?”

“What do you mean?” Sho urges carefully, obviously worried that he might say something wrong.

“I’m disappointed,” Jun mumbles, and when he sees Sho’s worried face, apparently he is afraid that he did something wrong, he shakes his head. “With myself.”

“But why Jun?” Sho asks in surprise, his warm fingers dancing over Jun’s skin. “You are wonderful. What is the problem?”

Jun just shakes his head, he can’t go further in this talk. He already said more than he thought he could. Sho presses a kiss against his head. “You will tell me when you are ready, alright?”

Jun nods thankfully, glad that Sho isn’t pressuring him more and instead lets him understand and do things in his own pace. He turns around carefully, fingers around Sho’s nape now before pulling him into a kiss.

Before things can get too heated though, Sho pulls back with a dramatic sigh. “I wish I could…”

Jun smirks. “It’s just like with a bag of cookies. Just don’t eat all of it at once, and you will have more later.”

Sho smacks him playfully, and Jun laughs.

~~~
Sho watches Jun while he dresses himself up. He is switching into a pair of glittery, tight black trousers and a silky white tank top. On top of it he wears a cream-white coloured shirt, buttons open. “You look so good,” he breaths out. He pulls out his phone, making a photo. “Going to send that to Satoshi! He very much liked the video by the way.”
Jun spins around, blushing slightly. It makes him look even more adorable. “Stop staring,” he complains. “It’s creepy.” He sounds like he is complaining, but his voice betrays him by shaking slightly and his cheeks flush.
Sho chuckles softly, getting up from his place and walking towards Jun. He puts his hands on Jun’s waist, pulling him a bit closer. “It just so happens that I find you wonderful,” he explains, before placing a soft kiss on Jun’s nose and cheek.
“You are silly,” Jun says, but sounds happy. He wraps his arms around Sho and pulls him into a kiss.
“Oh my god, please don’t tell me you are going to jump each other while I’m in the house?” Sho hears Nino’s voice behind him. He throws him a glare for interrupting him, but Nino just grins at him, pulling him away from Jun. “Don’t let him distract you, J.”
Jun chuckles, kissing Sho’s lips swiftly and pulling away. “No worries, Nino. I’m ready anyways.”
At the doorframe Sho can see Aiba’s head popping up. “Why can’t we all hang out together,” he pouts, and Sho immediately agrees with him. It would be so wonderful to spend the evening with their mates, having Jun curled up against him, cuddling…
“No way, J and I are going out,” Nino says firmly. “Alone!”
“But I don’t know what to do without Jun, it’s so boring,” Sho whines.
“Yes, and without you Kazu it’s-“
“You and Jun’s mates have your own life too after all. You are spending half of your time abroad.” Nino crosses his arms in front of his body, looking from his own mate to Sho. He has a pair of intense eyes that always seem to be awake. “Aren’t we allowed to have a life too? No? Don’t you find it selfish that you treat us like your possession, like you own us?”
Sho’s eyes widen in surprise. He has never thought about it that way. He wonders if Nino is just teasing them or saying the actual truth. Jun’s eyes don’t give away anything, he also doesn’t react to Nino’s words in a way that will make Sho understand what he feels.
Gladly Aiba’s senses work better and he hurries to reassure Nino. “Of course you can have a personal life too, I just love you so much, Kazu-chan.”
Sho nods eagerly, and Nino looks at least a bit content. Sho has to fight the urge though to hug Jun and tell him how much he appreciates him, but he figures Jun would not approve of it right now, in front of everyone else. He can only look longingly at Jun’s back while he and Nino take their leave.
“And now?” Aiba asks exasperatedly.
Sho drops down on Jun’s sofa dramatically. “I don’t know… I want my Jun.”
“And I want my Kazu,” Aiba pouts.
Sho looks at Aiba helplessly. “Guess we could watch a movie?” he offers without any real motivation.
Aiba nods – not sounding too convinced himself. “Yeah,” he answers half-heartedly. “Let’s watch a movie. With popcorn.”
Even the leftovers from Jun’s lunch, a huge bowl with popcorn and ice cream don’t cheer them up.  “Do you think Kazu will be mad if I call him and ask if he is doing well?”
“Yeah,” Sho states. Nino would bite Aiba’s head off – through the phone.
“Man, are we pathetic,” Aiba analyses while on screen a werewolf tears apart a group of people, blood spreading all around. And all Sho can think about is that Jun hates splatter movies and they would definitely not watch that garbage if he was there.
“This is worse than being abroad for work and missing him,” Sho pouts. “It’s like… this is so depressing! Jun lights up my day, you know?”
“I know exactly what you mean,” Aiba sighs. “I wonder if that’s how they feel when we are not here,” he muses.
Sho blinks. He hasn’t even thought about that yet. Though the last time he left for work, Jun said a few weird things. “Jun always seems to be a bit stressed,” Sho muses. “Like, he thinks he needs to accomplish something huge or make decisions immediately. He compares himself to us, and he doesn’t realize he has all the time in the world to find out what he wants.”
“Young vampires are so impatient,” Aiba agrees. “They don’t know they have more strength and more stamina than we have. They are still stuck in their fast-paced human life,” he says.
Sho nods. “I want Jun to be happy,” he says after a while. “I want him to feel fulfilled. And not stressed.” He nibbles at a piece of chocolate but even food tastes boring without Jun.
“Do you think we aren’t supportive enough?” Aiba wants to know.
“More like… we don’t quite understand,” Sho says after a while, because he is sure he will support Jun in whatever he wants to do, but he has to admit it’s quite difficult for him to even grasp what’s going on inside him.
~~~

“Here,” Shun proudly shows Jun a magazine, making the latter almost spit out his drink again.

“What’s that?” he asks in shock.

Nino takes the magazine out of his hands. “They put you on a cover!?” He grins. “My best friend is officially a model? Does that mean I get free entry to buffets and alike too?”

Jun stares at the picture in disbelief. Recently he went to Shun’s friend Toma, a young photographer and agent who immediately took a few test shots of him, overly happy for Jun being a vampire, and sent them to an audition. There were a few meetings, talks, more test shootings, one of them with him at the ocean, looking melancholically into the distance. It graces the magazine cover of a travel magazine now, and probably explains why Toma wrote him last week, talking about a huge surprise.

Jun is too flabbergasted to join Shun’s and Nino’s joyful talk, too many emotions spiralling through his mind. He is happy. Simple as that. He  never thought he would go anywhere with having his photos taken. Of course it’s still nothing major, it’s not like he is actually doing something for the world or even for his beloved ones, nothing special or interesting, just a tiny thing. But even having achieved this tiny thing makes him happy. At the same time he is instantly worried. It’s not the most known magazine in Japan, but he knows Sho reads a lot of them, and what if he or Satoshi see it? Won’t they be mad that their mate let someone else take photos of him and put them on a cover for everyone to see? He is scared of their reaction, more scared than not having told them though he is of having them disapprove. He likes being in front of a camera, so what if the other two will hate it?

“Complicated thoughts?” Nino asks when they go home together.

Jun blushes. “Why do you think so?”

“You were so quiet, Jun,” Nino says earnestly. “Is there something off? Do you hate your magazine cover?”

“No, I love it,” Jun admits quietly.

“So, what are you thinking about?”

“Sho and Satoshi,” Jun says after a while.

Nino nods knowingly. “You know, you should just proudly show them the magazine and tell them how happy you are about it and…”

Jun’s head starts spinning, he is not aware anymore what Nino talks about. His senses seem to be blocked, instead of them something stronger appears, something urgent, something more like a monster… “Nino,” Jun rasps out, voice hoarse while he feels the longing inside him gets stronger and stronger. How can this happen now!? He just drank recently! Why does he need blood again, so suddenly?

Gladly Nino reacts fast, grabbing his arm and basically tugging him along, running a bit too fast maybe in case a human would see them. Jun tries to keep his mind focused, while the inner demon in him seems to get stronger each second.

A/N: I promise Satoshi will be back next chapter!
