not mad at all about your comment, so don't worry. Actually I think you got it pretty well. Kame indeed is a difficult character here. Is a teenager, caught in his own negative feelings and problems and meanwhile he doesn't see that others are struggling too. So, somehow he is self-centred. You analyzed him pretty well. But, it will get better. He still has to learn some things. So does Ryo. But Ryo's desperation comes from somewhere else. Would he have jumped? He is not really careless, I can tell you as much ^^
