Sold out: Chapter 4 (Matsumiya)

Title: Sold out Chapter 4
Pairing: Matsumiya, (plus an additional tiny surprise side-pairing, and guest appearances)
Rating: R
Beta: [livejournal.com profile] ryosukekoibito
Genre: romance, AU, bit mystery (?)
Plot: In a world in which it’s normal to educate poor boys and girls in all kind of subjects and later sell them as eloquent ‘partners’ (A/N: not necessarily sexual!) to rich and wealthy people once they are of age. Nino is one of those kids. Thanks to his abilities he has the highest price but fears that no one will ever buy him. One day though a rich guy named Matsumoto Jun buys him. When Nino leaves the facility he grew up in, he suddenly finds himself in a completely new life. And Jun is nothing he imagined. Why would a guy like him spend such a high sum to buy a partner when he could just find one anywhere? While Nino starts looking for answers, his heart goes its own way...
Note: This just had to turn into a Matsumiya fic :D  It's not really all that angsty by the way, parts of it are pretty light.

Emmet has promised Nino that he won’t tell Jun about the incident. The last thing he wants is for Jun to know that he had such a breakdown. Emmet was able to reassure him a tiny bit, telling him that  no one is going to send him anywhere, and that he has a proper place here. Still, the doubts remain.

It’s another gloomy day in the city when Jun joins Nino in the winter garden where he was out studying. “Jun-kun? You’re already back from work?”

Jun smiles brightly. “Yes, pack your things, we are going.”

Something inside Nino’s stomach twists painfully. “Where to?” he asks and his voice sounds hoarse and shaky.

Jun looks at him for a while, before he smiles soothingly. A bit too soothingly. Did Emmet tell him anything? Or… “To the cottage, Kazunari-kun. Ohno told me that Masaki-kun misses you so much that we just have to visit them. I used a few of my free days to take off from work, Sho-san took over for me, so we can stay there for a whole week.”

“A whole week?” Nino’s mood raises immediately.

“Yes, Masaki-kun and your pony are waiting. So, hurry and pack your things!”

Nino smiles happily, suddenly feeling silly for having so many doubts. A week at the cottage will give him new possibilities. Jun won’t have any work and they will be able to spend a lot of time together. Maybe he could convince him to go for a walk… and get lost on the way, accidentally of course. Go swimming… wet bodies. He could even pretend to be drowning, so that Jun could save him and carry him out of the water. Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation anyone? Oh, and maybe, just maybe, there will be another thunderstorm.

Nino is almost relieved that he’s having new ideas. Mr. always-prepared-to-plot-Ninomiya is ready to strike again!

“Kazu-chan!” Aiba clings to his neck immediately. “You’re finally back. Tinkerbell and I were missing you!”

“Tinkerbell?” Jun asks in surprise.

“Kazu’s pony. It’s his name. Kazu and I chose it the last time after you and Oh-chan filled us with red wine.” Aiba chuckles. He pulls Nino to the side. “Oh my god,” he breaths out. “He is even prettier than the last time. It's the new hairstyle! It’s impossible.”

“Yes.” Nino sighs slightly and eyes Jun out of the corner of his eye. “Impossible is the word of the year.”

Aiba blinks. “No success?”

“Not even a little bit.”

“Okay.” Aiba grabs his hand and waves at the two men that are still standing next to Jun’s car. “We’re going for a walk!” he calls towards them before he turns his attention back to Nino. “You need to tell me everything. I have two cans of beer in my bag and a huge box with ham and bread, and vegetables. Some chocolate and two apples. A butterfly net and a set of cards.”

“Why the hell do you carry all that stuff around?” Nino asks in surprise.

“Why not?”

Yeah, why not. Masaki-logic. It’s perfect. One of the reasons Nino loves him so much.  Masaki leads him down a long path through the woods. Nino is not really an outdoor person but after the long drive and the rather crushing week it is nice to stroll through nature. At a beautiful clearing Aiba halts. “How about taking a break here?”

“Sure.” Nino nods. He hasn’t even realized that they walked for so long. When he looks up, he sees that the sun is not high overhead anymore. It has to be late afternoon.

“Now tell me,” Aiba demands.

There’s not much to tell, except for his several fails and the one attempt where he actually landed in Jun’s bed. Aiba listens to him intently while Nino tells him everything, nodding on occasion, but for the most part staying quiet, just listening. When Nino tells him about his breakdown last week – because it’s Aiba and he can tell him everything – Aiba’s eyes widen. “Kazu! He’ll never send you away. What are you thinking? He looks at you like you’re some sort of treasure. You are obviously not some sort of product or tool to him.”

“I just don’t get it,” Nino argues. “I mean, sometimes I have the feeling he actually likes me, but then… he doesn’t make a move. I gave him plenty of excuses to touch me, and he never did. It can only mean that he doesn’t find me attractive in the slightest. He doesn’t feel anything.”

“Impossible,” Aiba interrupts him. “He totally fancies you. It’s only because of you that he told Oh-chan to buy me free too. He likes you so much that he even tells you that you can study, work, do whatever you like to. Why would he do that for someone he doesn’t like?”

Nino shrugs. “How should I know? I don’t understand it all.”

“Okay.” Aiba takes a deep breath. “How about… you ask?”

“No!”

“You would finally know for sure, if-“

“No way, Masaki!”

Aiba smiles. “You could just ask for your position in his life. Argue with the fact that he bought you and ask him what you are in his eyes.”

Nino is silent for a while before he bites down on his lips. “That is an option,” he admits.

“Awesome,” Aiba exclaims happily. “It’ll lead you to a heartfelt talk, a confession, and then you can finally get laid, and-“

“Okay, our  moment is over,” Nino decides. He is about to stand up and brush off some leaves from his trousers, when there is suddenly a huge rumbling, making their surroundings shake, soon followed by lightning ripping apart the sky. “Thunderstorm,” Nino breaths out in shock. “Oh my god.”

“Fast,” Aiba exclaims. “Let’s grab our food and run. Maybe we can outrun it.”

Except they’re not fast. Neither of them are very sporty people. And despite their best efforts, the clouds follow them swiftly, covering up the sky above them until it’s almost as dark as night. “Damn,” Aiba grabs Nino’s hand and tries to pull him along faster. He has always been the faster runner out of the two of them, and has longer legs. Nino struggles to keep up.

It thunders again, loud and explosive, even louder than usual because they are in the middle of the forest. And suddenly the clouds open up and it starts to rain. Huge, angry raindrops, pelting them, soaking their clothes in a matter of seconds.

“We need to find a place to hide,” Nino pants.

Aiba halts, panting heavily too. “Yes,” he mumbles nervously. “But where?”

Nino looks around, trying to rely on his personal strength – his mind and brain – when he sees lights through the forest. He squeezes his eyes. The lights are coming from the street. “Masaki! A car!”

Aiba spins around, following Nino’s gaze, then he nods. He takes Nino’s hand again and starts running, mercilessly pulling Nino with him. He is glad that he can rely on Aiba's long legs in situations like these.

They reach the street right at the moment that the car approaches them. Nino waves like mad and the car halts. When the front passenger door opens up and Ohno jumps out, Nino blinks in surprise.

“Thank God!” Ohno exclaims. “Fast Kazunari-kun, sit down at the front seat.” He takes Aiba’s hand and pulls him with him to the backseat.

When Nino sits down and closes the door, he sees Jun sitting in front of the wheel. “You two are so stupid,” Jun huffs angrily. “How could you not see the storm coming? It’s dangerous! How old you are you two? You should have realized it was going to get bad!”

Nino blinks nervously, but when he turns his head slightly to look at Aiba, the latter just gives him the thumbs up.

“He is right, you know?” Ohno joins Jun’s scolding.

Nino’s phone in his pocket vibrates slightly. Ah, thankfully it still works. He pulls it out, drying it with a tissue before he carefully checks his messages. He tries to ignore the glare Jun sends him for obviously not listening to his words. It’s a message from Aiba. See! Someone who doesn’t care for you, wouldn’t worry and get angry at you.

“What are you two even doing right now!?” Jun’s eyebrows are furrowed. “How old are you? Five?”

“He is right, if you have something to say, say it out loud,” Ohno huffs. “And apologize for being reckless, you two idiots!”

“Sorry,” Aiba stutters.

“Yeah, me too.” Nino agrees.

He receives a message shortly afterwards. This time Aiba managed to send it secretly. When Jun concentrates on the street, Nino checks his mobile carefully. Wah, they are so hot when they’re angry. This will be a loooooooooooooooong and awesome night. *twinkle*

Nino grins.

~~~
Jun parks the car under the huge carport, all of them sighing in relief when they finally get off the car. Jun is holding Nino’s hand now, his hand feeling so warm.
Aiba pulls at Ohno’s sleeve, flashing him his best smile. “I’m really sorry for worrying you.”
Ohno grins. “I know.”
“Oh my god,” Jun breaths out in frustrations. “How much of a softie can you actually be, Satoshi-kun?”
Ohno laughs and points at Jun’s hand wrapped around Nino’s. “You’re one to talk.”
“This is something entirely different,” Jun huffs. “His fingers are ice-cold. I’m just trying to prevent him from getting a cold.”
Ohno makes a peace sign. “Of course.”
With that he disappears into the cottage, leaving Jun and Nino behind. Jun sighs slightly and tugs at Nino’s hand. “Come,” he says and leads him to the other entrance. The inside of the cottage is split in two halves. One of it belongs to Ohno, one to Jun. Although when Jun isn’t here, Ohno also uses his parts.
When they are inside, Jun helps Nino out of his wet jacket and shoes, before he takes both of Nino’s hands and rubs them. “You are ice-cold. You need to take a warm shower fast!!” He takes two huge towels out of a cupboard and hands them to Nino before he shoves him towards the bathroom. “Take your time,” he says. “You need to warm up.”
Nino eyes him carefully, scanning his expression. Jun can be easy to read but occiasionally it's impossible to tell what he is thinking. “Are you still mad, Jun-kun?”
“Let’s talk about that later, okay?” Jun says.
Nino sighs, but obeys nevertheless. He knows Jun well enough by now that he knows defying him right now would be of no success. When he steps under the shower he has to agree with Jun though… he was freezing. The warm water feels almost too hot on his skin. It’s soothing and calming, and he takes his time to warm his body up again. He leans his forehead against the glass cabin of the shower, sighing slightly. Aiba was right, Jun really looks hot when he is angry. The glint in his eyes is alluring. It’s only when his hand wanders downwards, brushing over his thighs and upwards towards his more private regions that he suddenly realizes that he is about to get off while thinking about Jun.
“I’ve really lost it,” Nino mumbles. It sounds cheesy, he knows that, and so pathetic, and he would never tell it to anyone else, not even to Aiba, but he wants to reserve it all for Jun.
When Nino steps out of the shower he takes one of the towels and wraps them around his hips. The bathroom itself has a small balcony, and he peeks outside a bit. On the left side of the house he can see through Ohno’s bedroom, and…
Oh my god. Is that Aiba kissing Ohno? The latter has wrapped his arms around Aiba’s waist, kissing him passionately.
Okay, more information than he actually needed. Ugh. It's like seeing his brother making out. He probably needs therpay now after he witnessed this scene. Nino closes the door to the balcony immediately and heads outside of the bathroom.
Jun is sitting in the small living room, cross-legged on the floor. There are some documents in front of him and he looks distant all of a sudden, so far away that something inside Nino clenches painfully. He doesn’t understand why he feels like that suddenly. Because of his talk with Aiba maybe, or because he has seen how Ohno treats his friend, and how far away he is from being close to the person he loves. He has denied it until now… he called it passion and pride and that he wanted to be successful in seducing Jun, but in reality he simply was in love with him.
Nino approaches Jun on the floor, suddenly feeling anxious. “Don’t send me away,” he begs, his voice shaking slightly. He can feel how tears burn in his eyes. “Please, just… don’t send me away.”
A/N: I think next part will be the last part. (I'm not hundred percent certain yet though ^^)
Oh, and belated happy birthday to our lovley, bratty and cool Nino
