I didn't want to do this, I didn't mean to start a fic that is still ongoing (I NEED TO BINGE-READ *cries*) but... but I keep seeing this every time you post and every time I have to stop myself from clicking on it and this time I just couldn't resist. It's Junba. And they're students. I think I held out long enough already. So last night I read this against my brain telling me to sleep, and I hate you because I like this so much and I want to read EVERYTHING NOW 😭
(Sorry, this is going to be a comment that encompasses all four chapters, I hope you don't mind)
First of all: Sakumoto as brothers is an instant YES. To me, Sho has that brother-figure towards Jun, so I like to imagine them as best friends/brothers rather than lovers most of the time (there are exceptions, of course.) At the same time, Tennen as brothers?? Also perfect. And Aimiya friendship. Seriously, this is like 99.9% perfect to me already. I'm not that familiar with other Johnny's groups, but I'm glad you chose as other brothers the only two members of SMAP I actually know the faces of 😂😂 I don't know their characters, but they fit in my head, so we're good 😂😂 I'm loving the story so far: Jun's family is obviously too tight and severe and he must be feeling like -pardon my French- shit all the time. The expectations must be weighing on him, it's so sad. At the same time, Aiba's partying and sleeping around is also a sign that something's broken inside him. I love that they are so different, yet so similar somehow. (I love parallels, me. So much.) I loved the texts exchange, with Jun being overly formal (seriously, who's that formal in a text!!) and Aiba being on the total opposite end with the abbreviations and super informal speech 😂 Hey, they say opposites attract, right? (This is the reason why sakuraiba and junba are my otps, by the way)
For this chapter in particular: Shingo teasing Aiba about Jun being pretty is just 😂😂 I love the way Aiba's family interact! And Sho and Nino's first encounter was priceless, I can't wait to see how that will go down (but won't Sho, like, DIE if he's gay because it's not proper or something? 😂😂 think of the scandals!) I'm glad Aiba ranted with Nino about Jun, and that he heard everything! These are the kind of clichés I love to read about (I am a sucker for romantic tropes *sighs*) I can't wait to see how that will play out!
