Title: Marriage on first sight

Rating: PG-13
Genre: romance, AU
Summary: Jun and Nino both participate in a new TV-reality show by producer Sakurai Sho: They marry each other, without knowing the other person before, without having seen each other before, and are supposed to stay together for three months before they can either divorce or continue to live together. Nino is in for the money, originally planning to file for divorce right after the wedding. But seeing and talking to Jun he decides to stay...
Notes: Written for [personal profile] leiva21 for her birthday last week! I'm so late with this, I'm so sorry!! (And I still have ciel's birthday story in the making ^^)  I hope this is to your liking <3

“And hereby I announce you husband and-“

The sleepy-eyed priest pauses, eyeing them thoughtfully for a moment. Only when the TV producer, a certain, very serious and eager Sakurai Sho, coughs violently from the side, he seems to get out of his daze. “-and husband. Or something alike.”

Nino rolls his eyes inwardly. He has known from the first moment on that this guy would make this wedding even stranger than it already is. “Ohno-san,” he hisses silently.

“Oh, yes,” priest Ohno coughs. “You may kiss the bri- I mean, you may kiss each other now.”

Nino turns to the side, stunned for a moment when he realizes the man he just got married to looks at him with a smile. He blushes. God, this dude has some intense eyes and a beautiful face, why the hell did he want to participate in this stupid blind-date-wedding show!?

The producer coughs again, and Nino stretches a bit, leaning into the kiss with a man he has never seen before. All he knows is that his name is Matsumoto Jun and he is 34 years old. That’s all. It’s a brand-new TV show concept, where two singles are supposed to marry – depending on their sexual preferences – a male or female partner, without knowing each other before. The show will screen the marriage, their reactions and also follow them throughout the first three months, to see if true love blossoms. After three months they can divorce immediately (and get even more money than just going through with the wedding) and stay together. Btu who the hell would stay together with a stranger?

Nino does not give a shit about the show, the only reason he applied was because the money they pay for the wedding alone is incredible. He already prepared the divorce papers, so once the wedding is over he can file for a divorce. Easy as that. He won’t get the monthly payment from the show then, but they already pay so much for the idiots who do the wedding alone that he is pretty well off now.

What he hasn’t expected though is that his counterpart, the unknown man they want him to marry, is stunning. Matsumoto Jun is pretty tall, well-built and has a beautiful face. So, either he misses a limb, is a completely weirdo or freshly out of jail or he wouldn’t marry, would he?

The wedding reception is weird as fuck. Mainly because he does not know his husband at all. He doesn’t even know the friends and family.

“A photo!” the producer says happily. “We’ll shoot the scene with the wedding photography now!”

Jun looks at the man insistently. “Ninomiya-san, looks tired, Sho-san. Can’t we have a small break first?”

“Don’t call him like that!” Sho blurts out desperately. “You are married now, call each other on first name basis!”

Nino blinks. “Like… Jun-san….”

“Exactly.” Sho looks at Jun now. “Now you.”

Jun blushes. “Kazunari-san,” he stutters.

Nino grins. Cute. “Weird, is it?”

“Totally,” Jun agrees with a careful smile. “Hey,” he adds after a while. “Do you care to check out the backstage buffet?”

Nino nods eagerly. “I’m starving.”

“Thought so,” Jun chuckles. “You look pretty fragile.” He blinks. “Cute though,” he adds immediately, apparently afraid that Nino might get upset if he calls him thin. “I’m going to cook for you on weekends when I’m off work!”

Nino nods eagerly, the thought of something homemade to eat makes him sigh in joy. Then however it strikes him. Every weekend. Wait a moment, he wants to divorce Jun as fast as possible, preferably in a few hours, take the money he got for pulling the wedding through, and then go back to his normal life.

“They have shells and shrimps,” Jun muses. “And I’ve seen quite an amount of yakitori and sushi.”

“Salmon sushi?” Nino asks curiously.

“Yes,” Jun chuckles.

“But be back in ten minutes,” Sho whines. “We need to continue with the shooting or we will be here all night long.”

“My husband needs a short break,” Jun says firmly. “When he feels better, we’ll come back.”

Nino looks at him in awe, surprised by how firm he can react and by how protective he already is. “Jun-san,” he chuckles when they are out of Sho’s sight. “You act like a husband.”

“Well, but that’s what I am,” Jun points out with a grin.

“That’s true, I guess,” Nino stutters.

“You know, my life up to now was incredibly dull,” Jun admits. “There was no real sense for me in it, which is why I went with this program.”

“Is that so?” Nino asks, swallowing nervously. Jun is doing this here seriously it seems, while he wants to bolt as fast as possible.

“What was your reason?”

“The money,” Nino admits, deciding he can be honest about this at least.

Jun doesn’t seem to be surprised or upset. “Yeah, they pay a lot.”

“You really didn’t do it because of the money?” Nino asks curiously.

“No, I have plenty of money,” Jun explains. “I did it because I was lonely and hated my life.”

Nino checks Jun carefully. How can a guy like him – good-looking, charming, obviously also rich – hate his own life, and be lonely?

“Let’s go back to Sho-san,” Jun says with a grin. “Or he will have a heart attack over us.”

“True,” Nino grins. “His face always turns red when he argues with you.”

“He is too easy to upset,” Jun sneers.

“I know,” Nino laughs. “His anger gets triggered easily. He is surprisingly predictable.”

They both laugh slightly, and Nino feels relieved that they at least share the same humour. He is sure he could be friends with this Jun-guy if they didn’t meet in this show here.

~~~
Sho seems to be relieved  to see them back, immediately arranging for the photos to be taken and a camera to film it.
“We need the priest too,” Sho commands.
“Do I still need to be here?” Their priest, a guy named Ohno, complains. “But I’m not even a real priest!”
“Doesn’t matter, you were a pastor once, and you are a captain, so you can officially marry a couple. That’s enough for me,” Sho states firmly.  “The legal process will be done outside of the show anyways. The priest is just for the show.”
“So what do you want us to do?” Jun asks jokingly. “Should I carry, Kazunari-kun?”
Nino snorts. “I’m not that light!” he mock-complains.
“I could feed him,” Jun offers teasingly. “With the shrimps from the buffet”
“Oh,” Nino raises his eyebrows, teasing right back. “Didn’t know you want to get dirty immediately.”
“No, please,” Sho’s voice sounds panicked. “Nothing soft-porn! Keep that for your wedding night.”
Nino freezes instantly. He completely forgot about THAT. They are married after all, and Jun will probably expect them to sleep with each other. He had a boyfriend once in college, but he hardly saw him and he only has a very few experiences. Besides he is not sure if-
“Don’t worry,” Jun tells him in a low voice. “I’m not going to jump you or anything alike. I would like to win your heart before it.”
Nino blushes, surprised by Jun’s words. He really seems to be into this thought. Nino swallows, suddenly feeling like a horrible person. He went to this program for money, probably like many others, but he completely forgot that most people will want to go through with this experience – may it be for more money or out of other reasons. It’s just him half-assing things again.
“Excuse me,” he says to the team. “I’m just going to the restroom.”
When he sees how Sho and Jun joke with each other, it gives him a little sting to his stomach. He closes the door to the bathroom behind him, leaning his head against it. Jun is such a nice guy. Is it right to immediately crush his hopes and feelings? When was the last time Nino himself actually did something wholeheartedly? His parents died pretty early, hence he was alone for a long while. He didn’t finish college, he didn’t stay with one job for more than a year, he didn’t have any relationships, no hobbies, nothing. All he does he does half-heartedly and half-assed. He hasn’t been serious with anything since years.
He has the dullest life ever, without any real job, any real friends, any real hobbies. Damn it. What is he going to do in ten years or twenty years?
Nino takes the divorce papers out of his bag, eyeing them for a long while, suddenly feeling disgusted with himself. “Fine,” he mumbles. “It’s not like I have anything to lose.” He takes his lighter, destroying the paper and throwing the ashes into the toilet. He can always file for a divorce later, but for now he decides to see where this here is taking him.
~~~

“Now carry him through the door.”

“No,” Jun says sharply. “I’m not sure about Kazunari-kun, but if we ever do something so cheesy then definitely not on tape.”

“Yeah,” Nino agrees. “Besides I have two healthy feet to walk on.”

“But it’s romantic to-“

“You mean cheesy,” Jun interrupts him. “Because I’m sure you will add cringe worthy romantic music to the scene, make it in slow-motion and use a pink filter.”

“Oh god,” Nino winces inwardly. “That’s true. Besides… No one needs to carry me anywhere. Why does Jun-kun need to carry me by the way? I could carry him too!”

“But you are tiny,” Sho says dumbfounded.

Jun narrows his eyes. “What do you want to say with that?”

“Yes, exactly,” Nino wriggles his eyebrows. “You haven’t seen all of me yet~”

Jun bursts into giggles, and it makes Nino weirdly proud that he managed to make him laugh like this.

“Fine,” Sho gives in with a dramatic sigh. “Do as you please, but when you drive on your honeymoon next week-“

“Yes, you will get a full-HD-shot of Jun-kun’s abs when he is on the beach,” Nino says dryly.

Jun grins. “How come you think I have abs?”

Nino raises his eyebrows, intentionally checking Jun from head to toe. “A feeling,” he teases.

Jun blushes and smiles at the same time, and it’s kinda cute. Actually Nino suddenly doesn’t mind having him around for a while.

~~~
Jun hands Nino a glass with champagne in it. “Thanks for saving me from my boring life,” he says with a grin.
Nino clinks his glass against Jun’s, sighing slightly. “At least you sound nobler than I am.”
“Noble?” Jun sneers. “You mean noble enough to join a shady TV program and marry someone without seeing them beforehand? My life was dull and boring, Kazunari-kun, you are doing it for the money. Is your reason really the less noble one?”
Nino tilts his head. “True, but I feel shadier.”
“Would you feel better if I cooked a fast snack for you?”
Nino blinks. “You can cook?”
“Yes, and I realized you didn’t eat much tonight,” Jun explains.
Nino grins. “Well, to be honest, these fancy hoers d’oeuvre are not particularly my style. I couldn’t tell what’s even in them.”
Jun grins brightly. “So how about some omurice?”
“Bring it on,” Nino snorts. “Anything I can recognize as actual food is fine.”
He sits down on the bar chair, watching how Jun swiftly prepares a simple meal for them. They are in Jun’s apartment, it seems. Sho-san would have provided them with an apartment payed by the TV host, but it seems like Jun’s is actually better.
He looks good while cooking, Nino thinks. He has these long fingers, which skilfully throw spices and herbs into their food. And he has a beautiful neck. He looks good. “Why?” Nino asks quietly. “Why did you join this program? I mean, you look like you could get anyone,” he says carefully. “Don’t get me wrong, you have the looks.”
“You are good looking too,” Jun points out.
“That’s not what I’m saying,” Nino argues. “I mean, you look like you could be printed on a fashion magazine cover. I’m just curios, you know, because to me it looks like you could just go to a bar or work… in case you work?”
He could also be a rich heir after all, and not work.
“I do,” Jun says warily. “In a huge company.”
“See, I think you could go to work and the female workers will all be over you. You could have anyone you want, don’t you?”
“That’s the problem,” Jun says quietly. “I can get anyone. A lot of people hit on me.”
Nino frowns. With anyone else the statement might have sounded arrogant, but the tone Jun said it in, sounds rather sad, displeased, annoyed. Nino just doesn’t understand why.
“What does your family think about you joining this program?” Jun wants to know all of a sudden, apparently eager to change the subject.
“I have no family anymore,” Nino admits. “I’m quite lonely.” He blushes immediately when he realizes what he said. “I didn’t mean for it to sound so pathetic…”
“Don’t worry,” Jun smiles. “I understand.” He puts a plate with a delicious looking omurice in front of Nino. “So, I’m going to be your family now?”
“Now you are being cheesy,” Nino grins.
“Fine,” Jun smirks. “Then let’s say we can be friends at least.”
“Better.” Nino watches how Jun nips at his glass of wine. “You enjoyed the weird food at the wedding, didn’t you?”
Jun chuckles. “I have a thing for fancy stuff.”
“Thought so,” Nino grins. “What about your family?” Nino wants to know.
Jun looks at his glass for a while before he sighs. “Guess I can be honest about that,” he mumbles. “Sho’s father is a friend of my father. And his project is somewhat like a collaboration between his TV-station and the company I am in. It’s like a pilot project. So, no one frowned upon it when I joined.”
“And for you it was a thankful way out of the situation you are in?” Nino tries to summarize.
“Yeah, somehow, yes.”
Nino doesn’t get it, but he assumes he is not supposed to understand it all yet. He is sure he will find out more eventually.
~~~

“I swear, I’m going to shove his camera into his mouth,” Nino grumbles quietly when he lies down in the shadow of the private beach they are spending their honeymoon at and Sho has filmed them for two hours straight.

Jun grins. “I won’t stop you.”

“And why the heck is the priest here too?”

“He likes fishing,” Jun says lazily. “And he is Sho-san’s friend.”

Nino wriggles his eyebrows. “O, you mean friends.”

“I thought so too,” Jun giggles. “But it seems none of them is able to make the first step.”

“Is this even legal? He is a priest after all?”

“Not a real one,” Jun chuckles. “The just booked him for the show. We are only legally married because our marriage got registered, not because he was there.”

“A total scam,” Nino grins and sits up. “Hey Ohno-san, I didn’t know you were a priest-scammer!” he yells.

Ohno shrugs. He is sitting at a rock, his fishing rod in water. “Guess they thought I would be convincing.”

Sho stops the camera instantly, blushing. “We are going to have to cut that out of the video,” he mumbles.

“Aren’t you worried that other participants of the show will want such a luxurious honeymoon too?” Ohno points out towards Sho when the latter packs the camera away for a while.

Sho sighs, glaring at Jun. “Yes, but Jun-san said he wants to do it properly.”

Nino grins. “It’s your doing that we are in a Five Star luxurious villa with a butler and all, and a private beach?”

Jun grins. “Yes.”

“How was the show able to pay the money?” Nino wants to know.

“Jun-san paid half of it,” Sho whines. “Now we have to think what to do with the next couple…”

“Just choose someone who likes adventurous travels,” Nino points out, hiding his surprise that Jun came up with so much money to pay for this trip. It probably costs a fortune. “You can send them to cheaper places.”

“True,” Sho muses. “That’s a good thought. Thanks for the input, Ninomiya-san.”

When Sho weasels away, Nino turns his attention to his husband. The thought of it still sound weird. “Are you that rich?”

Jun just shrugs.

Nino frowns. Suddenly Jun’s statement about being able to get just anyone makes a lot more sense.

~~~
“Harder, harder, HARDER! Go HARDER! Fuck, Jun!”
“I’m doing all I can,” Jun’s voice is breathless.
“What are you guys doing?” Sho peeks into the room, the camera in his hand, ready to take a juicy shot. He looks disappointed when Jun and Nino turn around to look at him.
They are sitting in front of the huge flat screen TV, playing Mario Kart. “What did you think we were doing?” Nino asks sarcastically. “Believe me, if Jun does me, we will lock the door.”
Jun chokes on his drink, blushing slightly. Nino grins at his reaction. He can be so adorable sometimes. He reaches out his hand, brushing over Jun’s thigh teasingly. “Or maybe Sho-san needs some juicier video material?”
Sho’s assistant, a cute-looking guy with brown hair and a bright smile, turns towards Sho curiously. “Should I film that?”
“No, Aiba-kun,” Sho sighs. “They are just mocking us.”
“Are you sure?” Nino asks seductively. His hand continues to brush over Jun’s thigh. To his surprise he can suddenly feel Jun’s hand on his own, but instead of stopping the movement, he just turns Nino’s hand and entwines their finger, before pulling him forward.
“Maybe Sho-san needs better video material from us?”
“Maybe,” Nino whispers, his heart hammering against his chest like madly. What the heck is he doing here? Jun’s face so close that he can count his moles, and the one right below his lips looks so alluring. Nino has to fight hard not to kiss it. He reaches out his free hand though, his thumb brushing over said-mole. “You are really beautiful,” he mumbles. “And sweet.”
“Same back to you,” Jun says, his voice sounding hoarse all of a sudden.
And then suddenly Jun leans forward, kissing Nino softly. Nino is so surprised, he can’t even pull back, instead he kisses Jun back instinctively, feeling the soft texture of his lips. Jun’s warmth seems to radiate and engulf Nino completely and suddenly he leans closer, wrapping his arms around Jun’s neck and pulling him into a deeper kiss. When they move apart, Jun’s cheeks are flushed and his eyes gleam.
“We should have filmed that,” Aiba whispers.
“Totally,” Sho exclaims.
Ohno smacks the back of their heads. “It’s called privacy,” he scolds them. “Leave them alone.”
Nino is thankful when Ohno drags the other two outside and closes the door behind them. “What was this?” he asks quietly.
“You tell me,” Jun mumbles. “You started.”
“I… wanted to tease Sho-kun,” Nino stutters.
“Then why did you kiss me back?”
“Why did you kiss me?” Nino asks back.
“I wanted to,” Jun says much to Nino’s surprise.
“And why?” Nino asks, still dumbfounded.
“Because…” A pause. “I don’t know.”
“Hm.” Nino makes, not sure how to encipher Jun’s words. He tries to listen to his own reasons and mind for a moment, but in the end he simply went along with Jun’s kiss, not for the camera not for the sake of teasing Sho or anything, but simply because he… “I wanted to kiss you too,” he says after a while.
Jun’s head perks up. “Really?”
Nino smiles. “Sho and the others are not her anymore. Should we try it again?”
Jun smiles slightly, fingers wrapped around Nino’s neck and pulling him closer. This time his kiss goes a lot deeper. Nino willingly parts his lips for Jun to slip his tongue in and tentatively gets to know how he kisses and how he likes it. Jun’s lips are plump and luscious, and he knows how to use his tongue. Nino can’t help but wonder what else he would be able to do with it and how he would use his tongue on other regions of his body.
“What the hell are we doing?” Jun whispers against Nino’s cheek.
“Making out with each other’s husband?” Nino offers dryly.
“And what does it mean?” Jun wants to know.
Nino shrugs. “Do we really need to label it?” he asks.
Jun looks like he wants to argue, but then much to Nino’s surprise he gives in. “Fine,” he says. “For now.” Then he grabs Nino by his shirt, pulling him in for another kiss.
Aiba is following Nino with his camera when they visit Jun at work. It’s for the compiled segment of the show where they show a one and a half special on their marriage life for the last official day – which is three months after their wedding. Basically every couple signs up to stay together for so long, and will receive a good amount of money. When they want to stay together, they can. If not, they will be able to file a divorce immediately, without any problems.
Aiba came visiting Nino right after Jun went to work. Nino is supposed to have cooked something for Jun and surprise-visit him at his work, which was bound to fail of course, until Nino decides it’s okay to just be himself and take instant food along. That’s him after all.
He is more than a little surprised though when he enters the huge company and a few guys in suits bow to him. “What the heck?” he mumbles.
Aiba just shrugs. “Maybe they saw you on TV for the wedding?”
It sounds plausible until Nino encounters at least seven guys who open doors for him, and two who lead him to the elevator, one of them even presses the button for him without asking, apparently well aware to where he wants to go. “Did you tell them we are coming?”
Aiba shakes his head, looking equally dumbfounded. “Why would I? I want to film his surprised face.”
Nino sighs slightly, but gives in to his fate nevertheless. His suspicion grows when their destined floor is actually the top one. “The last floor?” he mumbles. “Jun-kun is rich, isn’t he?”
Aiba nods.
“Just how rich actually?”
Again Aiba shrugs. “I don’t know.”
A young secretary is greeting them. She bows politely. “You have to be Ninomiya-san,” she smiles politely. “I will tell Matsumoto-sama that his husband is here. Just wait a moment, please.”
“Oh fuck,” Nino sighs dramatically when she leaves, sudden realisation dawning on him by the way she calls Jun and how everyone here treated him like a prince.
“What?” Aiba asks curiously.
“Did I really just marry the boss or something?”
Aiba looks surprised. “Sho-kun never said anything. I thought Matsumoto-san was just one of the higher employers here.”
Before they can discuss anything further the secretary leads them inside Jun’s office. Aiba is about to pull out his camera, but before he can do so, Nino looks at him intensely. “Please.”
“Fine,” Aiba sighs, packing the camera away. “I’ll be waiting outside, and I’ll tell Sho-san that Matsumoto-san was in a meeting.”
He closes the door behind them and Nino finally has the time to take a closer look. Jun is wearing his suit, his hair perfectly combed, and he looks so serious, nothing like the cute goofball he sometimes is at home. He smiles carefully though. “I didn’t expect you to visit, Kazu-kun.”
“I didn’t expect that you are the boss,” Nino argues back.
“Junior-boss,” Jun corrects him.
 “So, I’m fucking the boss?”
Jun blinks. “You didn’t do any fucking up to now, so… no?”
Nino rolls his eyes. “It was supposed to be a joke. Jeez, I’m still recovering from that shock. Show a little bit sympathy, please!”
Jun rubs the bridge of his nose. “I’m sorry,” he finally says quietly. “I should have told you more about myself.”
Nino eyes him thoughtfully. “Well,” he muses. “On the other hand I knew you have lots of money. I’m normally witty enough to count one and one together.” He plops down on the sofa in Jun’s office. It’s his forte to recover quickly. “Still a shock. But say, does it not hurt your reputation that you took part in this show?”
Jun chuckles, sitting down next to Nino. “I told you we have a partnership with Sho-kun’s TV station. Also I made it clear that I would rather marry a complete stranger instead of getting hit on every day by a random guy who is just after my money.”
“I’m after money too,” Nino points out with a blush. “I told you.”
Jun tilts his head. “True,” he nods. “But you are different.”
“How come?”
“You are honest,” Jun smiles slightly. “You never lied, you have always been open and honest about your reasons, and really, it’s very rare for me to meet someone like that. And money or not, you would not kiss me or hang out with me, if you truly hated me.”
Nino sighs. “True,” he mumbles. “I’m pathetic like that. Once years ago the boss from a company actually wanted me, I could have had a luxurious life, but jeez, I was so disgusted by him.”
“See,” Jun smiles.
“I’m pathetic.”
“There is nothing pathetic about wanting to be in love. Or at least like someone,” Jun argues.
Nino returns his smile, his chest feeling warm all of a sudden.  “I brought you cup noodles by the way,” he says to distract himself from this new feeling.
Jun raises his eyebrows. “Reminds me… why are you here anyway? Not that I’m not happy to see you…”
“Sho-kun sent Masaki-kun.” Nino blinks. “Wait a moment, Sho knows you well, doesn’t he?”
Jun nods.
“Which means he just wanted to have a dramatic shot from me when I discover your position here?” Nino growls. “This idiot!”
Jun rolls his eyes. “Sho-kun, he is totally trolling us.”
“I can’t let this continue like that!” Nino huffs. “I’m the troll normally.”
“A cute troll though,” Jun grins.
“Oh please,” Nino snorts. “Next to the rich supermodel mogul I look like nothing.”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Jun scolds.
“I’m not. Ever looked into the mirror? You are taller, more beautiful, stronger – emphasis on the comparative. You see!?”
“You have the most beautiful eyes on the planet though,” Jun says quietly, a light blush on his cheeks.
“What?” Nino stutters, blushing too now.
“They are like amber,” Jun explains quietly. “Beautiful.”
Nino slips a bit closer. “Your eyes are beautiful too,”  he admits. “So deep.” He smiles contently when he feels how Jun wraps an arm around his waist and pulls him into a kiss.
“Now we just need to do something about this TV-show,” Jun mumbles against Nino’s lips.
Nino grins. “Maybe we should troll them back?”
He smiles when Jun looks at him in interest. “Any plan?”
“I always have a plan!”
“So,” Jun says after a while, pecking Nino’s cheek. It’s such an intimate gesture that it takes Nino’s breath away. “Should we eat the food you brought along?”
Nino blushes deeply. “It’s just… cup noodles,” he stutters
“I hope it’s with chicken?” Jun asks innocently.
“Chicken and seafood, and I also have beef,” Nino answers, surprised.
“Awesome, I’m hungry.”
Nino shakes his head. “But are you sure you want to eat a package with garbage noodles, instead of going somewhere fancy?”
Jun tilts his head. “I would rather like to spend my lunch break with you, even if it means cup noodles and instant ramen.” His eyes go wide for a moment, like he realizes only now what he just said. “I mean, if you rather prefer to go out and-“
“No,” Nino smiles and takes Jun’s hand squeezing it. “The fact that you are the junior boss of this company freaks me out, but I want to be alone with you.” He pauses. “I don’t know what you see in me though.”
“You are my husband,” Jun says with a smile.
“Blind marriage, you could say, like a blind date, just the full program,” Nino argues.
“But you drew me in almost immediately.”
“I don’t believe in love at first side,” Nino mumbles.
“Me neither,” Jun states dryly, while taking the cooking water from the little stove and filling the instant ramen cups with it. “But I believe in attraction at first side, and that feelings grow.”
Nino’s eyes widen at that statement, his chest feeling warm. Does this mean that Jun really feels attracted to him and that he truly believes they have a chance together? Furthermore… does Nino believe the same? He tries to listen to his heart, how it beats faster when he looks at Jun. It’s a scary but beautiful feeling.
Watching Jun preparing their ridiculous lunch, and taking the weird instant noodles Nino brought along so seriously does things to Nino’s chest and stomach he isn’t used to. Watching Jun from this angle, his back looks broad. When Jun mumbles something alongside the words that he is going to prepare bento boxes for them next time, and how he wants Nino to eat food he likes but also something healthy, tears suddenly fill Nino’s eyes.
Jun turns around. “Do you want onions in your-“ He pauses, eyes widening in horror. He is at Nino’s side immediately, a hand on his shoulder, the other carefully touching his cheek. “You are crying…” he stutters. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say anything that hurts you!”
Nino blinks, still horrified by crying in front of Jun – or rather in front of anyone – and at the same time horrified that Jun thinks he did something wrong. “You didn’t do anything,” he mumbles.
“Is it because I didn’t tell you about my job?” Jun bites down on his lip. “I didn’t want to hide anything from you, I was just enjoying it to be with someone who hung out with me without knowing my position. And without judging me. And… to be honest, at one point it was just not important for me anymore, what I do, and what you do.”
“No, that’s not it. You are perfect,” Nino stutters, his voice hoarse. “You are nothing but cute.”
“Cute?” Jun blinks. “Most people here find me scary.”
“Most people don’t know you,” Nino huffs, thinking how Jun giggles with him about silly jokes he makes, how they tease each other, how Jun cooks for him, and how he tries to just make him happy. How happy Jun was during their wedding. How he cared for Nino from the beginning on. Jun is kind, and it’s only now that Nino fully realizes it. He does not want to lose this warmth anymore. Thinking of a life without Jun makes him feel scared and lonely.
Jun pulls him into a warm embrace. “Tell me what’s wrong,” he says softly.
“I don’t know,” Nino mumbles. “I never had someone who cared for me, you know?” he is surprised by his own words. He didn’t even realize how lonely he felt. Until he met Jun. “And I don’t know what to do with my life.”
“You are not alone anymore,” Jun whispers softly. “And you can take all the time you want to figure out what you want to do. I’ll support you whatever you choose to do with your life.”
“But our marriage contract only goes for three months,” Nino mumbles, feeling sad all of a sudden when he realizes that there are only two more weeks left.
“If you think I’ll just let you go after a few months, you are an idiot,” Jun says dryly.
Nino’s eyes widen. He pulls back slightly, looking at Jun in surprise. “You mean…”
“Unless you want to leave of course,” Jun says, suddenly looking nervous. “Do you? Want to leave?”
“Now you are being the idiot,” Nino smiles. “I have no idea what I’m doing here with you, and this being married thingy is not even my cup of tea, but I kinda don’t mind to be with you.”
Jun chuckles. “You really need some tutoring in terms of romance.”
Nino snorts. “And you think you could actually teach me about it?”
“No, I’m a horrible teacher,” Jun smiles, but there is a tinge of red on his cheeks.
“But you are romantic?” Nino urges.
“Let’s eat,” Jun says and dodges the question by grabbing one of the cups and forcing them towards Nino.
Nino chuckles. Good to know, he thinks. Jun is probably an adorable sap.
~~~

Sho looks almost a bit upset. “Your marriage contract is ending,” he stutters. “I wanted to discuss this with you, before asking Jun-san about it.”

Nino pretends to listen carefully. “Yes?”

“As the show’s GTC says, you will be automatically divorced in one week from today.”

Nino nods in a matter-of-fact way. “I know.”

Sho gasps. “But… does this not… I mean, I thought you and Jun-san are getting along. I mean you…” he pauses. “You don’t need to go through with this divorce of course.”

Nino hums, and nods. Apparently his flippant behaviour makes Sho even more nervous. “You know, Jun, he-“

A fierce knock against the door interrupts them, and Nino fights hard to control his grin.

“Yes?” Sho asks confused.

The door rips open, and Jun waltzes inside, Ohno and Aiba following him. Aiba with his camera, capturing the moment, Ohno apparently out of curiosity. Jun eyes the both of them, his eyes lingering on the divorce papers, until Aiba catches them too with his camera.

“There is no way I’m going to get divorced,” Jun says in a husky voice. It makes goosebumps appear on Nino’s skin.

But he has to play a role too.

“Really?” he asks, eyes widening in innocence. “I… but…” He touches his cheeks in pretended embarrassment. “I thought you wouldn’t want me to stay with you?”

Jun grabs his hand in a dramatic gesture. “I have never loved someone before, so I might lack comparison. But you touched my heart, and I won’t let you go away that easily.” He looks sad for an instant. “Of course I won’t force you to-“

Nino stands up. “No!” he says immediately.

Jun shows him a sparkling smile. “Really?” he asks.

Nino nods, and before he can react properly Jun grabs him by his shoulders and pulls him into a heated kiss.

“Wow…” Aiba whispers from the side.

“I hope you are still filming,” Sho whispers.

“Of course!”

“Jun,” Nino chuckles, looking at Jun softly. “The camera is on.”

“Oh,” Jun pretends to be surprised, turning towards the camera. “Right, I completely forgot.” He smiles his typical charming smile. “As everyone saw right now, Kazunari-kun and I found our happiness together. Although we didn’t know each other, and we still have to learn more about each other, but we are taking the risk.” His eyes glint when he grabs Sho’s arm and pulls him towards the camera. “And all thanks to this man.”

Nino nods. “Yes, Sho-san, thank you.” He smirks. “You know… I thought… maybe…” He throws Jun a thoughtful glance.

Jun’s eyes widen. “Yes,” he exclaims. “Such a good idea, Kazu!” He smiles his best prince charming smile. “You always have the best idea.”

Nino forces himself to giggle in a way normally just a fourteen year old would do when in front of her crush.

Turning towards Sho Jun smiles dashingly. “My husband just had the perfect idea! As a thank you, we want to redo the favour! You can also marry today!”

“What!?” Sho exclaims.

“Is it possible to do it so fast?” Nino asks towards Aiba.

Aiba nods, eyes shining in excitement, apparently he already sees the great viewer numbers for this show and the success if the producer himself tries it and establishes the show further. After all the junior boss of a well-established company just ended the program successfully too. “Yes! We can immediately go through with the bureaucracy and then have the celebration later.”

“Great!” Jun exclaims. “And I already have a partner for you!”

“You have?” Sho asks, still shocked.

“Don’t worry,” Nino smiles. “If it won’t work out, you can always divorce in a few months.”

Jun steps to the side, pulling Ohno along. “How about him?”

“What?” Sho squeals. “But I…”

“I know, you technically know each other, but not that well.” Jun smiles soothingly. “I’m sure the audience-“ He winks towards the camera. “-will forgive us this little exception.”

“What do you think, Ohno-san?” Nino asks.

Ohno shrugs. “Yeah, okay.”

Sho looks at him in sincere surprise. “Are you serious?”

“Yes,” Ohno says casually, surprising all of them. Nino knew he was laidback, which is why he and Jun chose him as the surprise partner, but he didn’t expect him to be so willing to participate. “I would like to try your program.”

Jun clasps his hands. “So it’s set,” he exclaims and smiles towards the camera. “Until next week! Be sure to switch on for the adventures of the new couple!”

Aiba switches the camera off, taking a deep breath. “Wow,” he says. “What a good show.”

“But,” Sho whines. “I can’t. I-“

“Oh come one,” Nino says dryly. “It’s your own program. Don’t back out now!”

“It’s worth it,” Jun states, and although he and Nino indeed tricked Sho, there is still sincerity and caring towards his friend in his words. “It’s worth it,” he repeats and squeezes Nino’s hand.

Sho seems to be torn between kicking Jun and asking for more information about what he means, but then… he says nothing. Apparently he has decided going through it for three months won’t be that bad.

~~~
They have hardly managed it to get into Jun’s – or as Jun calls it their – apartment, and Nino grabs Jun by his hips, kissing him heatedly. The hell with it, he thinks. “I want you so bad!” he says bluntly.
His approach seems to work, because Jun blushes. “How?” he asks.
“Preferably inside me,” Nino smirks. “After all you are my husband. Finally fulfil your duty!”
Jun snorts. “You,” he scolds, but he laughs at the same time. Then he grabs Nino’s hand and pulls him towards his bedroom.
Feeling Jun inside him is almost more than he can take emotionally. He hasn’t even realizes just how much he grew attached to Jun, and how he actually started to love him. He wraps is arms around Jun’s neck, pulling him into a kiss. “Faster,” he teases. “We have a wedding we need to attend to. I don’t want to miss any second of Sho and Ohno marrying.”
Jun laughs.
