Sho is hovering above Jun, straddling his hips while kissing him hungrily. Jun voiced his concerns first, a second after they were hungrily jumping each other. Something about the group, their history, Sho not being the best boyfriend-material in terms of time and schedule, their clashing personalities etc.
Sho gives a shit about all of this. He has wanted Jun for so long, he can’t even remember when it started.
So when Jun after what seems forever invited them all for a casual get-together at his place, and the other members were either sick or had sudden work, cancelling last minute, leaving only him and Jun… he just... he had to take his chance.
“Sho-kun,” Jun breathes out when Sho kisses his neck, planning on leaving a mark there. “It’s… What does this mean… I…”
Sho looks at Jun for a moment and the look of insecurity in his eyes makes him stop immediately. He reaches out his hands to take his face between his hands. “Don’t,” he says softly.
“But we are drunk,” Jun stutters. “We had a bottle with red wine, just the two of us.”
“Yeah, I needed that little confidence booster,” Sho admits.
Jun blinks. “What do you mean?”
“I’ve liked you since a long while already.”
“And why did you never say something?” Jun frowns. “You made it seem like I would never get you.”
“You… me?” Sho blinks. “I was the one who thought I would never get you. I thought you don’t even like me. There were times you didn’t even talk to me properly, you always sat somewhere else, far away from me.”
Jun is quiet for a moment. “It’s some sort of defence strategy, you know. I thought you aren’t interested, and I didn’t want to get hurt further.”
Sho smiles, planting a soft kiss against Jun’s cheek. “I love you,” he says softly before kissing the other cheek and moving to his lips. “For years already. I don’t care if this is smart or not or if we work together or not. I just know I want to be with you. We are adults now, we are smarter than we were as teens, we are going to work it out.”
“How can you be so sure?” Jun wants to know. To Sho’s relief he scoots closer though, arms wrapped around Sho’s waist while he lies down on his back and makes Sho hover above him.
“This time we’ll work together as a team,” Sho says with emphasis. “We’ll make it work together.”
“Together?”
When Sho nods, Jun shows him a dashing smile, and Sho promises to himself never to betray it.
