Love Confusion: Chapter 9
Pairing: Aimiya, Juntoshi, Sho/Masami
Rating: PG-13 (for now?)
Genre: romance, AU (college/work/coffeeshop), love-hexagon you could say^^
Plot: Nino, Masaki’s best friend and co-student, has a crush on Masaki’s older brother Satoshi since forever. Satoshi however, a young barista, loves Masaki’s university lecturer Matsumoto, who is a regular in his coffeeshop. But Jun has a friends with benefits thing with his former senpai Sho. Sho however, a young lawyer, has never believed in love, until he falls in love with Masami, a young pet shop owner. Masami however laid her eyes on the cute guy Masaki, who helps in her shop sometimes. And Masaki? He can’t see Nino the same anymore ever since that night two years ago…

yukitsubute !!!!!!!!!! I hope you will like this story! (I tried to go for a different main pair this time - I have never written Aimiya for you after all!When Masami opens the door to her apartment, the first thing she sees is a bag with the sign of the finest sushi restaurant on it. She has to fight hard not to squeal in delight. “Please tell me you talked to Jun! I would hate to send the sushi away again.”
Sho blinks. “Didn’t he tell you?”
“Tell me what?”
Sho snorts. “Never mind. Guess he wanted to test my new communication and reading the mood skills, I promised him after all.” He pauses. “Yes, I talked to him.”
“And he is really okay with us dating?” she asks carefully.
“He said your happiness means more to him than anything else,” he says quietly. “And alhtough he still needs some time, he is glad to be finally able to move on. By the way-“ he chuckles. “He threatened my manhood in case I would hurt you.”
Masami bursts into giggles. “He didn’t! He is too sophisticated to say that.”
“Oh,” Sho smiles. “He told me he would make me regret it if I hurt you. We all know what he meant.”
“Does that mean,” Masami tilts her head, heart racing. “My feelings are safe with you?”
“I promise to always cherish them,” he says earnestly. It’s almost too cheesy, but still she likes it. “So what do you say?” he wants to know.
“Come in, you and your sushi,” she chuckles. “You are safe here, I promise.”
Sho laughs.

They are taking Sensei’s car, mainly because Satoshi doesn’t have one. He passed his driving license years ago, but never really drove much. Apparently it seems that he and Jun once took a car, with him driving, and since then Jun is very much against letting him back behind the wheel.
This should feel weirder than it does, Nino thinks. But it feels so normal to have these two in the front seats – one of them actually his university lecturer – and his best friend next to him. He could get used to that, really.
“Hey,” Masaki looks at him, his brown eyes shining happily. Recently he looked rather down, but now there seems to be the joy back in his eyes. “Wanna listen to some music?”
“Sure!” Nino nods, thankfully accepting the second earpiece from Masaki’s IPod. The drive to the seaside takes long and at one point they are both snoozing away, leaning against each other, only waking up a few hours later when Jun stopped the car and Satoshi opens the door.
Nino blinks his eyes open, blushing when he realizes how close his face is to Masaki’s. “Did we arrive already?” he asks.
Satoshi nods with a smile. “Wake Masaki up and then join us.”
Nino nods, waiting for Satoshi to turn away. He brushes through Masaki’s hair softly. “We are here,” he says when Masaki stirs a bit and opens his eyes.
The smile on his face is dazzling. “Kazu-chan?”
“Yes?” Nino asks.
“You are cute.”
Nino’s face feels hot immediately. “You too,” he stutters.
Masaki seems to wake up completely now, blushing himself. Yet he seems to be weirdly happy about Nino’s answer.
Nino doesn’t get to think about it further though because Satoshi opens the back door and takes out their luggage.
Later on Jun shews all of them out of the house after Satoshi accidentally roasted the onions too long and Masaki dropped a plate on the floor while setting the table. Satoshi manages to keep inside – somehow – by promising he won’t touch any food or kitchen supplies, but set the table and clean the dishes
Nino and Masaki go for a walk, both of them highly amused.
“Say,” Masaki starts all of a sudden. “Don’t you think we could help these two?”
“You mean play cupid?” Nino asks in interest
Masaki grins. “I’m bored, you know? Let's re-unite the old Masa-Kazu dream-team again, shall we?”
Nino smirks, his mind already starting to work on a plan. “It’s always bad when we are bored.”
“So let’s do it?”
“Sure!”
Plotting with Masaki has always been fun.

When Jun comes downstairs for dinner, he feels weird. The whole afternoon was kind of… confusing. It started with a little present on his bed, wrapped into beautiful blue paper, and roses surrounding it. There was an invitation card for dinner there, and a post-it sticking on top of the present. Wear this tonight. Inside there was an expensive looking wristband, which left Jun in awe. He has always had a weak spot for accessories. Then when he wanted to get ready, he saw a note sticking to his black tight jeans and white soft sweater – he never wears it because it’s too wide and tends to slip down from his shoulders. Still, out of reasons unknown to him, he goes with the flow and picks the outfit prepared for him, and wears the wristband too.
Once downstairs he suddenly feels a bunch of rose petals flying down on him. He looks up, but doesn’t see anyone. While he continues walking, there are more roses falling on him. It's ridiculous and funny, yet also weirdly alluring. Again, when he looks up there is no one. At one point he is fascinated enough to reach out his hands to catch some of the petals.
And when he comes to the salon he sees the table set for two, the best plates and flowers on the table, and beautiful candles. Satoshi is standing next to the table with a confused look on his face. He is wearing tight blue jeans and a beautiful ocean blue shirt. “What…” Jun stutters, instantly feeling his face flushing at how good Satoshi looks.
“Don’t ask me,” Satoshi answers, letting out a little sigh. “These were the only clothes left in my wardrobe when I wanted to change.”
This feels weirdly familiar to Jun.
“Dinner is already served it seems,” Jun muses while he looks at the table. He blinks. Someone apparently has ordered food from a local restaurant, a very good one on top of that.
Satoshi blinks. “Explains why my credit card was missing for a few hours. It’s back now.”
“And this?” Jun shows him his wristband.
Satoshi smiles all of a sudden. “Consider it a present.”
“Aren’t you mad?” Jun stutters. Apparently they both got tricked, and Satoshi spent so much money without even knowing it. “I mean all of this for sure cost a lot of money.”
“Yes,” Satoshi winks slightly. “We’ll have a talk about this later,” he says loud enough for possible listeners to hear it too. Before he can continue though, there is suddenly romantic piano music to be heard, and the light gets dimmed. “But,” Satoshi says in a lower voice now, reaching out his hand towards Jun. Jun takes is without hesitation. “It led me to having dinner with you.”
“All this money just to have dinner with me?” Jun asks in disbelief, blushing slightly.
“Anytime,” Satoshi says seriously.
He looks so alluring all of a sudden, and the same time so secure, his quiet confidence engulfing Jun, that he feels like something tightens inside him.
Satoshi steps closer. “Jun-kun, is everything alright?” he asks in worry, his hands cupping Jun’s cheek.
“This is too perfect. It will turn out to be just a dream again.” Like it did with Sho. He is not sure if he is ready to put his heart on a plate yet again, without knowing what is to come.
“I won’t let you down,” Satoshi says seriously. “It’s not just a dream.”
“But you said you don’t want to get in my pants,” Jun argues.
“Well,” Satoshi smiles. “I do want to get in your pants, but first I would like to ask you out and tell you I love you.”
“But why?” Jun stutters. “I’m pretty plain and difficult. Is this really worth the trouble for you?”
“Stop doing that,” Satoshi says, sounding almost angry all of a sudden. “Stop talking yourself down. You did not deserve to be treated that way in the past. You are kind and fun, caring and charming. Anyone you fall in love with, should feel fucking honoured! I know, I would be the happiest man on the planet!”
“Is that true?” Jun asks, heart beating faster. He doesn’t even know when it happened. Maybe it started that night when Satoshi brought him away from the awful party. Maybe it already started earlier, and he didn’t realize it because he was obsessing over Sho. But he just knows it’s there. And it’s strong. And different than his feelings for Sho were.
Satoshi nods, and Jun can’t help but wraps his arms around him and hug him. He feels Satoshi’s hands rubbing over his back, a kiss being pressed against his neck. Jun pulls back with a smile. “So, let’s eat before I consider letting you in my pants.”
Satoshi chuckles.

“OH MY GOD! IT WORKED!” Masaki blurts out, grabbing Nino’s hands and making a victory dance togtether with him. They turn in circles until they both feel dizzy and drop into the warm sand.
“And it was so romantic!” Nino exclaims. “I didn’t believe they would go with it!”
“So cute! I’m so happy for Satoshi,” Masaki agrees. “The hug, the hug was movie-worth.”
Nino grins. “Do you think Satoshi will be mad at the money the both of us spent on his behalf?”
“I highly doubt it,” Masaki smirks. “If we are lucky we might even get a bonus from him.”
They both exchange a glance and laugh.
Masaki turns to Nino and grins. “We are such a good team!” They high-five each other, but before Masaki can pull back again, he feels his hands being grabbed by Nino’s.
“We are,” Nino says, and his voice is serious all of a sudden. Masaki’s heart races, and then without thinking any further, he bends forward, kissing Nino softly. Nino’s lips are soft, and the hands that are holding Masaki’s feel so warm.
It’s only when Nino moves back a bit that Masaki realizes what the hell he just did. “Masaki,” Nino stutters. “What was that?”
Masaki feels horrified. How could he? He just went with the flow, encouraged by his brother and the whole mood, he just couldn’t hold back anymore. “I…” he jumps up. “I’m sorry,” he blurts out.
“Wait, Masa,” Nino calls out when he turns around and just runs away.
He can’t do anything else, he just has to run. His ears are ringing, what did he just do? That’s too stupid, even for his own reckless ass it’s too stupid. He wanted to talk to Nino first, confess to him, not just kiss him out of the blue.
The wind in his face is cold, but he doesn’t even realize it. He just keeps running, away from the beach and into the forest next to it. He is so fast he doesn’t even realize how Nino’s calls and the sound of the ocean gets more and more silent, until something beneath him crumbles.
He blinks, halting and looking down to his feet. He is in the middle of a clearing in the forest. When he takes a careful step, the ground beneath him opens and then… he just keeps falling.
A/N: So the dream-team aka Aimiya set Juntoshi up. Now they have no excuse but to hook it up with each other :D

Aibaaaaa nooooo don't run away please! Finally they kissed and then he got afraid? Maybe he isn't sure if Nino is really feeling something for him? Oh god, please Nino run after him! 😱😱
Nino and Aiba help Jun and Satoshi 😂 they are the best! I am happy that Jun finds someone to trust again ❤ and Satoshi seems really caring and nice, and he'll take good care of Jun 💙💙

I never thought that the way to bring Juntoshi together can be that cute! I'm glad Satoshi is clear with his feeling when Jun clearly is showing some vulnerability. His heart was just broken by Sho and I'm so happy that at least he wants to consider Satoshi. He needs to be happy. And Aimiya pair is genius XD That petals lmao

They both worked really hard to get Satoshi and Jun together, right? I think Satoshi is perfect for Jun. He is calm and truly loves him, and Jun can rely on him and lean on him. He is going to fix Jun's broken heart swiftly.

I am not over what Sho did to him. so awful, humiliating, hurtful! but I am thrilled with this new love! Satoshi will be much better for Jun, for sure!!!
