“Does your friend stay for dinner?” Kame’s father asked warmly.
Kame looked at Ryo through questioning eyes, but Ryo smiled apologetically. “Thanks for the invitation.” He bowed politely. “But my brother is waiting at home. I’m already way too late. If I come even later, he might rip my head off.”
Kame chuckled at that, already seeing Yoko in his protective mode. He smiled while he accompanied Ryo to the door. “Your brother? Are you calling him like that now?”
“From now on he will be my brother,” Ryo explained, grinning slightly when he saw Kame’s confused expression. “I’ll tell you about it later.”
Kame nodded his head, before he took Ryo’s hand into his. “I’m sorry for everything.”
“I know,” Ryo answered dryly, making Kame grin in slight amusement.
The latter chuckled. “You really aren’t the easily forgiving type, right?” He grinned. “Hopefully I won’t ever do something really stupid, like cheating on you.”
“Don’t dare to,” Ryo grumbled.
Kame smiled brightly. “I’ll make you forgive me. Always.”
Ryo frowned. “Yeah? I highly doubt that…”
Kame grinned, grabbing Ryo’s face and pulling him into a soft kiss, his lips nibbling at Ryo’s sweetly, his tongue brushing over his upper lip, teasing it a bit, before he searched for Ryo’s tongue to pull him into a heated kiss. He kissed him until he felt that Ryo gave in completely, then he pulled away.
“You know,” Ryo complained. “That’s not fair. You can’t always kiss me when something goes wrong… For example, let’s say you forget my birthday, then I wouldn’t…”
Kame chuckled before he leaned forward to kiss Ryo’s again, stopping the other's scolding. He drew back when he felt how his own cheeks were heating up a bit. “I’m still free from school tomorrow, but since it’s Friday… is it okay to drop by at evening?”
“Sure,” Ryo answered warily, blushing both in embarrassment and anger when he realized that he had forgotten all his complains. Stupid Kame, for not fighting fair.
“I’m sorry,” Kame mumbled.
“I know, you already said is several times,” Ryo sighed. “It’s okay. Forget it already.”
“I said so many mean things. I didn’t mean any of them,” Kame explained. "Please don't believe them, okay? I felt so bad when you thought I would break up with you because you are an orphan. I felt so low and mean. I just wanted to push you away, because I felt like I don't deserve you."
"Yes, I know," Ryo sighed. "Listen Kazu, it did hurt, but I know you were really desperate. It's not like I can't understand. And I already told you, it’s okay. So better stop talking now, before I remember all the details from this phone-call again.”
“Okay.” Kame nodded his head, smiling when Ryo waved him a good-bye. He watched how the latter hurried to his bicycle. He wondered when Ryo became so strong and confident. He had actually believed that he would need to fight a lot to get him back, but apparently Ryo was trying to be more forgiving and stronger now, solving things with his own strength. Even though Kame's words for sure had crushed him, he had fought to get over them. And he had visited Kame instead of sulking and waiting for the other to come to him.
Kame nodded to himself in determination. He would try to do the same from now on. He should make the people around him happy, maybe this would make him feel happy too then. It wasn't easy to be strong and confident, but he could give it a try. And he would definitely make up to Ryo for the past days.
Ryo let the wind brush through his hair when he drove home, he just made one tiny stop before. Something neither Kame nor Yoko needed to know about. But it was important to do it, because he had finally realized the truth. He knew it now.
When he opened the door to the kitchen of the dormitory, Yoko glared at him, actually wanting to tell the younger one off for being way too late. But when he saw Ryo’s slightly blushed cheeks and his joyful smile, he couldn’t.
Ryo looked at him happily, not even feeling a tiny bit intimidated. “Sorry for being late. I didn’t mean to, really.”
Yoko sighed slightly. “Everything settled now?”
Ryo’s smile turned into a shining bright one. “I guess so.”
“Good,” Yoko grinned. “Then grab a plate and take some of the onigiri. You haven’t eaten yet, right? I guess you have to be hungry…”
“But I’m not hungry,” Ryo complained.
“You are not?” Yoko pulled an eyebrow up. “Do you really want me to mention that you have been two hours late?”
Ryo rolled his eyes, but then he chuckled. “If I think about it correctly… I might be hungry a little bit…”

It was the next morning when Kame took a walk over the beach. Ryo was at school and Kame had decided to at least have lunch together with his father. He would still meet with Ryo later that afternoon. On his way back his gaze shifted towards the cottage. He smiled, deciding to take a look at it before he would head home.
He took a deep breath when he went inside. For the first time it didn’t make any difference anymore if he was outside or inside. He still felt sad about the loss he had, but he would learn to deal with these feelings inside him. He still had his father after all and his friends… and Ryo of course.
Kame angled for the box, his fingers searching for the book. To his surprise it wasn’t there. He blinked in confusion, taking a closer look, but he just found a sheet of paper in the box. Kame angled for it curiously, his eyes widening in surprise and in wonder when he read it. He didn’t really know why it was gone, but what he knew was that the person who had written it was right.
I took the book away, so don’t search for it. In case you wonder why, I’ll tell you: I think that we don’t need this book anymore. Don’t we have other people in our life now? We aren’t lonely anymore, am I right? I know I’m right, because I know who you are. Just start talking to the persons around you, give them the trust they deserve. And I’ll do the same.
We don’t need an imaginary friendship through a note-book. We need a real friendship. And we’ll have it.
Let’s start living properly from now on!
Kame still felt a bit dizzy when he left the cottage. He wasn’t sure if he should be relieved now or sad that the notebook was gone. However, it felt strange.
But when he thought at the words he had read just now, he had to smile. The other person was right, he had someone else in his life now, he had his father, Ryo, his friends. It was completely different to how he felt before.
A few months ago he still was a lonely closed kid. Now he was still lonely and closed sometimes, but only because he needed to fight a bit stronger to fully chase these feelings away. And when he thought about Ryo his whole body started to tingle with happiness. He would make up to him and never hurt him like that again. It was a promise, also to himself, because he wanted to learn to like himself.

“How was school today?” Kame asked while he nibbled at Ryo’s neck teasingly. Months had passed since Kame had lost his mother and slowly things went back to normal. Ryo was already living together with Yoko in an apartment house close to the sea. “I’m actually sad I missed it… but it was my father’s birthday. So you have to keep me up to date today?”
Ryo sighed a bit, trying to stay concentrated. “It was okay. Jin-kun is suddenly so nice towards Uchi-kun… while Jun-kun keeps making teasing remarks about that.”
Kame chuckled a bit. “I already expected something like that.”
“And Yamashita-kun…” Ryo paused here when he felt Kame’s hands brushing over his chest and rubbing his thighs teasingly. “…is…”
“Yes?” Kame asked softly.
“…saying hello,” Ryo mumbled, gasping when Kame’s fingers hit an especially sensitive spot. “You are unfair,” he complained, breathing in sharply.
Kame’s fingers wandered over Ryo’s thighs slowly, his fingertips brushing over his sides. “Did you just complain?” he asked with his sweetest voice.
Ryo blushed. “No…”
“Good,” Kame smirked. “Don’t tell me I really found a way to make you shut up?”
Ryo frowned slightly. “You have to talk…”
Kame smiled at that, letting the teasing be for now. He simply bent forward, placing a soft kiss on the other boy’s lips, his hand moving over Ryo’s naked chest, his fingertips only pressing slightly against the other’s skin.
Ryo smiled against Kame’s lips, nibbling at them, his teeth scratching and pulling at Kame’s lower lips. His hands were diving through Kame’s hair, pulling at it, stroking it. “Hey Kazu…”
“Hm?”
“I never did that before…” Ryo admitted, feeling slightly embarrassed.
“Good,” Kame sighed in relief. “Me neither.”
“Really?” Ryo blinked. “You seem to know quite well what to do…”
“Just pure instinct,” Kame grinned. “Or talent.”
Ryo rolled his eyes, then he pulled Kame on top of him. “Then show me how talented you are…”
Kame bit his lips at that, looking at Ryo nervously. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” Ryo smiled. “I’m feeling unsure about a lot of things, but not about you. Right now I just want to feel you.” He pushed himself up on his elbow. “Just one thing…” he pointed at the door. “Lock it please. I really don’t want Kimi-kun to walk in on us…”
Kame grinned at that, jumping up to close the door, then he was back in Ryo’s arms, continuing with what they had started. For the first time he was feeling thankful towards Jin for feeling not embarrassed to talk about his sex-life. This definitely made it easier.
Ryo winced in pain when he felt Kame’s finger inside him, stretching him, stroking him. It felt different, weird, a bit painful, but it also flooded him with emotions he had never felt before.
His breath was going heavy when Kame pushed into him, whispering reassuring words into his ear, words Ryo didn’t even hear properly because his head was going dizzy by all the emotions flooding him. But still, Kame’s voice humming against his neck, made him feel calmer, the slight vibration of Kame’s mouth relaxing him. And then he felt it, like a bottle of sparkling water that one had been shaking before and now opened it… so that all the water splashed outside with a loud fizzling sound. Ryo felt like such a bottle right now, a bottle that one had been shaking all the time, and now his emotions could finally escape.
He clenched his fingers into Kame’s back, moving in the same rhythm as Kame did. “Kazuya…” he breathed out, feeling how Kame’s arms were pulling him into a firm grip to hold him close. Then the fizzy feeling stopped, leaving Ryo totally breathless and tired for a moment, but also really good. He nuzzled his nose against Kame’s hair, placing a kiss, his fingers trailing Kame’s muscles.
Kame wrapped his arms around the other one, holding him tight, while his eyes were half-closed, his breath still going heavy. “I loved that…” he pressed out. “I love you.”
Ryo smiled. “Yeah. Me too.”
“Good,” Kame’s voice sounded hoarse like he was hiding both his relief and his embarrassment. This was good. He placed a kiss against Ryo’s shoulder, then he looked at the other curiously. “Ryo?”
“Hm?”
“There is something in my mind, something I already wanted to ask you since months.”
“What is it?” Ryo wanted to know, his head resting against Kame’s chest. He was so happy that things were alright again, not only between them, but slowly also in their lives.
“Why this place?” Kame asked curiously, feeling a bit nervous. “You told me you chose this place here on purpose when you chose your high school.”
Ryo wavered a bit, but then he decided to simply let go. He sighed. “I was living here once.”
“What…” Kame blinked, his eyes widening in surprise. “WHAT!?”
“Well, not really permanently living here. But my parents had a vacation house here and we often spent the summer at this place. It had a lot of memories for me, that’s why I chose a high school in this town.”
“I understand,” Kame answered silently, stroking over Ryo’s shoulders softly. He kissed him warmly. “Where did you have that house?”
Ryo smiled at that question, turning around a bit and pulling Kame’s hands with him, so that the latter would wrap his arms around him. He smiled inscrutably when Kame couldn’t see him. “The house wasn’t in the city, it was in an outside area. No one lives there anymore.” His smile grew a bit. “It was a small cottage next to the beach…”
“A…what?” Kame blinked, his eyes widening in surprise. “A…cottage?” He gasped when the realization hit him. “A cottage at a beach!?”
“Yes.” Ryo smiled warmly, placing a warm kiss on Kame’s palm. “A cottage right next to the ocean…”
For a moment Kame was too surprised to say or do anything, but then he smiled, wrapping his arms around Ryo’s waist. Wasn’t this actually perfect?
Maybe one part of him had already guessed it, but the other part wasn’t able to believe in such an unbelievable coincidence. Two lonely souls, meeting each other through a notebook in a empty cottage, a place hardly anyone knew about. It was almost too good to be true. But as unbelievable as it was, it really was the truth:
The boy with the notebook who had helped him opening up and the boy he fell in love it… were the same person.

Date: 2012-12-08 07:07 am (UTC)Ryo is so adorable as he and Kame move forward. Who wouldn't get lost in Kame's kisses.lol Though I think Kame gets the message that he should quit while he is ahead.
Yoko and Ryo the brothers--I want more of them. They are perfect.
The smut was good--a good first time--gentle and caring and I love you.
But my favorite part was when Kame realized that Ryo was the one he had been writing to. And I also loved what the note Ryo put in place of the book--though I think he will still treasure that book.
I love your writing in general--you know that. Your multis are so special. Thank you for this one--i was privileged to read it. Thank you for this rare gift. :D

*lol* YokoRyo brothers... I bet Yoko will definitely get on Ryo's nerves. In a good way ^^
I'm pretty sure that Ryo will cherish this book. Maybe one day when he and Kame are both older he will look at it again together with Kame. <3

Date: 2012-12-01 05:20 pm (UTC)SPOTOhhhh Kame and Ryo are so cute together. <3 They really are something. ^^ So cute and dorky and just fluffy. ^^
Finally both opened up, that's good. <3
Kame is so terribly cute when he says that he can make Ryo forgiving him everything. *lol* He really shouldn't try it, that wouldn't end good.
But the end showed that he has intention to try something else. <3 The smut scene is so sweet, but also hot. <3
But Yoko bumping in would have been funny *loooool*
ahhh, and Kame finally finds out that it was Ryo with the notebook. They talked with each other via writing and met each other for real. <3

But, this is actually not what I wanted to start with
or maybe it is, let's face it. Anyway, I loved this story - about two lost beings finding reassurance in each other, in a totally unexpected manner. And the story has a happy ending, so it's a big plusstill a silly girl, who loves happy endings. And this comparison with fizzling water - ohhhh, a masterpiece!!
