Advent Calendar Door 2: Nagase/Mabo

Title: Tricks
Pairing: Nagase/Mabo

“Can you believe it?” Mabo stretches his head, enjoying the hot bath in the onsen. “They totally tricked us.”

Tomoya chuckles. “But it was fun,” he says light-heartedly, and joins him, groaning like a gorilla as he basically throws himself into the water, splashing it all over Mabo.

Mabo snorts. “Can you not do that? You know, this is a hot spring, not an adventure-swimming pool. Cultural knowledge 101.”

Tomoya laughs slightly, never taking any scolding too serious. “Onsen lecture? Sometimes you are really gay,” he jokes.

Mabo grins. Only Tomo can say something like that without even remotely sounding insulting. He is still looking for a good come-back as an answer when Tomoya is suddenly next to him, his warm hand on Mabo’s shoulder.

“Look,” he says and points at the glass roof that’s covering the onsen. For a moment, he is earnest and calm, and looks almost too freakingly handsome. “It’s snowing.”

Mabo smiles, looking up as well. There are little snowflakes covering the glass now, sparkling in the light. “It is.”

ANYWAY 'sdlf;lshdg it's soooooo tiny but there're so many good things from this, omg.

#1 MABO BEING THE ONSEN KING BECAUSE YOU'RE SO RIGHT he would care about being splashed on he's so fucking LAME
#2 that being said excited splashing tomo!!!??!?!?!? i know the term here is gorilla but i imagined him as a lil bird just loving to splash and have fun and be free and happy
#3 Only Tomo can say something like that without even remotely sounding insulting. uuuuuUUUGHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh..... its because tomos heart is so kind and big and loving and mabo knows he loooooooooooooves him ;______;
#4 he is earnest and calm, and looks almost too freaking handsome MABO HAVING A HUGE GIGANTIC CRUSH ON THIS DORK IS MY ULTIMATE WEAKNESS HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! like it's true though, mabo loves watching ;_; him ;_; during concerts and when tomo's just being serious or in the zone for acting, mabo loves watching him, and of cOURSE THAT APPLIES HERE TOO
#5 the image of mabnag being warm and soft and together in an onsen looking up at the snow is killing me. like just imagining them both looking up and then tomos hand slips a little and shifts to touch mab's chest and mabo wraps his own arm around him and tomos cheek rests on mabs shoulder and their eyes are still to the sky... and theyre just comfortable like that because they dont need anything else they just need the peace and the quiet and to be with each other and i'm ;__; so happy,,,,,,

I'm so happy you liked it! I was super-unsure about writing the pairing (it's my first attempt of Mabo/Tomo after all ^^)

HAHA is Mabo really like that? Sometimes he comes off like an old man, then he can be really cool and then he is... suddenly all spacing out... and weird... and... okay :D

Is it weird to say that I think Tomo is one of the nicest and most casual and normal persons around JE? He seems just like a really good and nice and still cool guy <3

I love your #5 by the way - your extension of the drabble is so romantic <3

I love how you manage to turn the mood around from a sort of parent/child kind of splashing-around-and-being-lectured to warm and fluffy lovers-watching-snow-fall, and in my mind it's also from loud to a gentle quiet. <3
