For the longest time ever, Ryusei has seen Ryo as the type of senpai one should rather avoid, and definitely not piss off. Then it just so happens that this very same person hands him a sheet of paper.
“What’s this?” Ryusei asks carefully. It’s not like he is shy or anything, but getting a sheet of paper from the scariest dude Kajani8 has to offer - next to Subaru-san - is a little nerve-wracking.
“Nothing,” Ryo says and smiles a bit. “Have a nice day.”
Ryusei blinks as Ryo disappears through the corridor, then he eyes the sheet of paper. It’s a song. Nishikido Ryo has written and given them a song. Oh.my.god. And when months later, Ryusei joins the drama cast of Ryo’s newest drama, he wonders when the hell it happened that he turned from being scared of Ryo into a stupid, annoying, freaking fanboy. He is only lucky that the others haven’t noticed yet. He would never hear the end of it.
“Are you joining me for dinner?” Ryo asks one day, much to Ryusei’s surprise. He can only nod and accept, naturally. It’s when they sit in Ryo’s favourite okonomiyaki restaurant that he finally has the chance to ask the many questions he has.
Including-
“You are actually really nice, aren’t you?”
Ryo bites down on his lip in the cutest way ever, then he laughs all of a sudden. “You know, I relied on my senpais a lot a few years ago. I’m happy that I can be a senpai myself now.”
It makes sense. It really does. What doesn’t make sense though is the way Ryusei’s heart makes a tiny, careful jump when Ryo pays the bill. Or the way, the beating gets stronger when he shows him another one of these breath-taking smiles and takes him home. It’s snowing like crazy, thick snowflakes falling down on them and covering Ryo’s hat and hair. There are even a few of these beautiful white crystals sticking to his eyelashes. He is so freaking good looking, it’s impossible, and Ryusei is glad that the snowfall is so thick that Ryo won’t realize how he is staring.
Their walk back to Ryusei’s apartment doesn’t last long enough. It’s over too soon. But Ryo promises to invite Ryusei out next week too and waves when Ryusei disappears in his apartment, closing the door behind him.
Shit. Ryusei brushes through his wet hair with both hands, listening how his heart hammers against his chest. This means problems, doesn’t it?

The way Ryusei's view of Ryo changes as he gets to know him better. I guess Ryo-chan can be scary sometimes, ne? With his stern look and serious appearance when he's working and trying to be a role model. Especially to the young ones might think that Ryo is not someone to have a good time with. But then, Ryo is caring and sweet when he's attending to people and he's definitely making it a point to be a good senpai. It's really nice to see that he can pull it off like this, too. ^_____^
The song that Ryo gives Ryusei is such a sweet gesture. Well, I guess wanting to have a song written for him and being begifted with it as wll made him want to share something like that with his kouhai.
Awww, Ryo takes his kouhai home. Well, he is attentive like that. But maybe he too doesn't want to part with Ryusei any earlier than absolutely needed? I'm hoping that's the case. The way Ryusei keeps being so excited over just being next to Ryo had me torn between wanting to hug the boy and shouting at him "Kiss him, dammit, NOW!" XD
Is it asking too much if I want a sequel? They are so sweet. ^___^

I think Ryo might love being a Senpai. He enjoys being a Junior too after all. Give and take :D
