Summary: Jun always choses Nino when asked during interviews or in their variety shows. Nino is beginning to suspect something.

Nino didn’t feel suspicious first. He thought it was all… normal. The ordinary. Fanservice. For the kyaaaas of their fans. But after the tenth time of hearing his name out of Jun’s mouth when asked who he would go out with if he was a girl, which Arashi member he thought was the most handsome, the most appealing to girls and so on, he feels slightly suspicious.

 

If this wasn’t Jun but Sho he wouldn’t suspect anything because Sho despite his intelligence is a little bit dense sometimes when it’s about emotions, friendships, any-ships in general. If it was Ohno, Nino would tease right back because he would be sure that Ohno just forgot that he already mentioned him plenty of times. If it was Aiba, he would be sure that Aiba was making fun of him.

 

But this is Jun. He is too professional and too aware to slip in the any-ship department. He is not daydreaming like Ohno. And he sucks at teasing when something emotional is involved. So… if it’s a joke Nino doesn’t get it. And if it’s not, Nino doesn’t get it either. Because he knows pretty well he is not as awesome as Jun describes him to be.

 

“Jun is delusional,” he jokes later on when it’s just him and Ohno and Sho. “He mentioned my name again! For Who is the most attractive in Arashi.”

 

Ohno needs a bit too long to react. Even for Ohno-reaction-standards a few minutes are too long. “Did he?” he tilts his head, like he has a hard time to remember.

 

Nino nods. “Yeah,” he says. “We all know that Sho-kun would be more to his preference! Why not drop his name instead?”

 

Sho laughs like Nino just made the best joke ever.

 

Nino frowns. “What?”

 

“Nothing,” Sho blushes. “But… it was just funny… I mean I’m not his preference at all.”

 

Nino blinks. That’s new. “Are you saying that Jun is not interested in you anymore?”

 

“Not at all.”

 

“How do you know?”

 

Sho blushes. “I just know,” he stutters.

 

Suspicious.

 

Despite his suspicion Nino momentarily forgets about his thoughts until they approach a Christmas special recording in which…

 

 

 

“J,” Nino says when they are alone in the changing room. “What are you doing?”

 

Jun blinks at him. “Switching my clothes, why?”

 

“That’s not what I mean,” Nino rolls his eyes. “I don’t get any teasing vibes from you… so I don’t get it. Why are you always saying my name?”

 

Again Jun blinks. “What do you mean?”

 

“Best possible boyfriend. Most attractive Arashi member. Best looking in a kimono. Most romantic. Come on, we all know I’m great, but you make it sound like I’m some sort of god. And today,” he grins. “Most generous member? Come one! Who are you kidding?”

 

To his surprise Jun blushes. “I didn’t mean it in a teasing way,” he says.

 

“Exactly why I’m wondering what you want to tell me,” Nino continues his inquiry. He hears footsteps outside, so he swiftly grabs Jun and pulls him into the restroom, closing the door behind them. They both stumble slightly. Nino loses his balance, dropping down on the floor and pulling Jun with him. Jun manages to provide their heads from hitting the floor, their limbs intertwined with Jun’s head resting against Nino’s neck.

 

Nino doesn’t mind their position at all, Jun’s hot, and he has only forbidden himself from having any romantically thoughts about him because Jun likes Sho.

 

Jun however doesn’t leave their compromising position either.

 

“Say, J….” Nino starts after a long while in which none of them moves. “Do you like Sho?”

 

Jun produces a sound that’s a mixture out of disbelief, amusement and disgust. “No way!”

 

“But you always did…” Nino stutters.

 

“I did when I was 16. I’m 34 now.”

 

“So, is there someone you like?” Nino asks, daringly wrapping an arm around Jun’s waist.

 

Jun smirks against Nino’s neck. “Yep.”

 

“And who is it?”

 

“I’ll give you a hint.” Jun grins. “It happens to be the most romantic, most attractive and best-looking in a kimono guy from Arashi.”

This is how I see Jun in reality. Oh gosh, you just captivated Jun's
character very well. I think that's the reason why Ohno loves messing
up with him on cam because he knows Jun will be too terrified to go
with the flow especially with the teasing.. Hhahhahah and I feel thankful
for Nino with this one because he just saved Jun's heart and sanity.
Straightforward Nino is what Jun needs! Hhahahha <3
