Summary: Satoshi and Nino struggle with their little family. Or rather... Satoshi struggles. Nino is perfect.

Satoshi realizes something is off when Nino is standing right in front of him all of a sudden, arms crossed in front of his body.
He blinks in confusion. “Is there something wrong?”
“Is there something wrong?” Nino mimics him, voice dripping with sarcasm.
Satoshi doesn’t get it. He looks at the painting in front of him and then back at Nino. Helpless almost.
Nino groans. “I told you to watch Masaki while I’m grocery shopping. You know what he did? Scribbled on the floor. And you know what else? Sho-kun is dropping by in an hour, you remember your brother? We invited him for dinner. And.” He frowns. “Why was Jun-chan crying again?”
Satoshi tries to process the information. Right. He forgot that he was supposed to keep an eye on Masaki. He was really going to watch him but then Jun… “He used my canvas and colours,” he explains.
“Who?”
“Jun.”
“And?” Nino doesn’t seem to get the problem. “Where is the problem?”
“It took hours for me to prepare it,” Satoshi explains in exasperation. “I lost my nerves and snapped at him.”
“He is only two,” Nino says in a tensed voice. “He doesn’t understand that it took you so long. Did you try to explain? No! You probably just yelled at him.” He lets out a tired sigh. “I can’t do this anymore, Satoshi. I can’t do everything alone!”
Satoshi grabs his arm before he can leave. “Don’t leave like that,” he begs. “I’m sorry for letting you hanging again.”
Nino sighs “I’m going to prepare some ramen. I have the base for it in the fridge. Just needs noodles. Gladly Sho-kun eats anything.”
“Kazu,” Satoshi says softly.
“Don’t give me that look.” Nino rolls his eyes. “Fine. You go and handle Jun-chan. And then we’ll see if I’ll forgive you.”
With that he leaves. Satoshi knows he will forgive him, because Nino always forgives him. But he wants to do things right too, so he goes and looks for his two sons. Masaki is sound asleep on the carpet, his pens lying around him. Jun is sitting in his room, snuggling his teddy bear. Apparently Nino already managed to calm him down.
“Jun?”
Jun looks at him through his huge eyes, like he is scared Satoshi just came to yell at him again.
“Come, I want to show you something.”
Jun throws him a sceptical glance.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you,” Satoshi says softly. “You know, making pictures is my work. And it takes me long to do them.”
“I’m sorry,” Jun mumbles into his teddy bear.
“Come, I want to show you something.” Satoshi smiles when Jun finally gives in, his curiosity apparently winning over and grabs Satoshi’s offered hand.
Satoshi takes him to his atelier. He points at the left corner of it where the space is empty. “How about we make this here your space. I’ll prepare your own canvas for you and you can paint whenever you want.”
“But I don’t have any colours,” Jun stutters.
Satoshi smiles. “Do you want to take my old water colour set?”
Jun’s eyes widen in surprise. “Really?”
“Yes, but you need to watch out for them well. And you have to promise me not to touch my pictures.”
“I will! I will! I will! I will! I promise! I promise!”
Satoshi chuckles. “Good. Then let’s see what your Daddy is doing in the kitchen.”
Jun nods eagerly, pulling Satoshi with him to the kitchen. “He is making the best ramen ever!”
Nino grins. “It’s just instant ramen.”
“No! You made the broth!” Jun argues.
“Jun-chan is right,” Masaki’s voice comes from behind. “I saw it. You made it yourself.”
“Daddy can cook,” Jun giggles.
“Yes! He is the best!”
Nino blushes deeply, making Satoshi grin. “You know,” he whispers, sneakily grabbing Nino’s hand and pressing a kiss against his cheek while the kids are busy messing around. “I think Masaki is right. You are the best.”
“Oh you sneaky bastard,” Nino whispers with a grin.
“So you forgive me?”
“Hm…” Nino tilts his head. “Should I?”
“I will ask Sho to watch the boys this weekend and we can go out. My treat.”
Nino grins. “Consider yourself forgiven.” He chuckles happily, chasing the boys out of the kitchen and telling them to draw a picture for their favourite uncle Sho. Satoshi meanwhile grabs the plates, setting the table. When he is finished he takes a look into the living room, smiling in amusement when he sees Masaki and Jun snuggled against each other and deep asleep.
Nino suddenly hugs him from behind.
“They are so cute when they are asleep,” Satoshi says proudly, wrapping an arm around Nino’s waist.
His little family might not be perfect, but he wouldn’t want to swap them with anything else. They are perfect enough for him.

Cute Jun messing around and hugging his teddy bear is sooooooo cute! I caaaaaaaaaan't! (โฉยด๏น`โฉ) He just loves watching how Satoshi paints and tries to imitate him (insert Juntoshi LOL). I can imagine Masaki making things dirty, a terrified Satoshi comes in and Masaki just smiles brightly with a cute ''oops!'' and wide sheepish grin. Well, if you think about Nino's bratty side, he will forgive Satoshi for screwing things up because he knows he can do all the naughty things to him as his revenge. Hahahh thank you dear!

I think you are right, Nino was annoyed and tired, but he loves Ohno and wants his little family to get along :-) Jun just looks up to his papa, and wants to be like he is, good thing they worked something out, right? :-)
