Satoshi wraps his arms around Jun’s waist and tugs him into warm hug. “Are you mad Jun-kun? I’m sorry I can’t go on a trip with you this weekend.”
Jun swallows down the disappointment he feels. He doesn’t want to come off as the clingy annoying boyfriend when not even one year into their relationship. He loves Satoshi. He is actually the best thing that happened to him in a long while, and the best relationship he had up to now. He doesn’t want to lose Satoshi again. “No, not mad,” he forces himself to say. “Be careful on your fishing trip.”
Satoshi plants a soft kiss on his lips. “I will call you once I’m there.”
Jun nods, waiting until Satoshi is out the door before giving in to his terrible mood and disappointment. Damn it, why couldn’t he just tell Satoshi how important this day is to him. He should have just told him. But then Satoshi would think he is too clingy and annoying, and then he will leave him because no one wants an annoying clingy boyfriend. His last boyfriend left him, saying he doesn’t have the time to ponder to Jun’s wishes and that spending too much time with each other was exhausting.
Jun doesn’t want the history to repeat itself.
He grabs a bag with cookies and settles down in front of the TV. When Satoshi writes him a message, he writes back, as cheerfully as possible.

A ring at his door makes Jun rise in surprise. It’s Satoshi’s best friend, Aiba. “Jo!” Aiba greets him, and without further ado throws Jun’s jacket towards Jun, and a scarf, before he starts tucking Jun into it.
“What….” Jun protests helplessly.
“We are going out!” Aiba exclaims happily.
Jun only manages to grab his keys and his wallet before Aiba has already dragged him out of his apartment. Everything happens so fast that Jun does only realize they are clothes shopping when they are in his favourite department store.
“The dark grey jeans,” Aiba orders, while ripping the curtains to the changing room open. “And this stuff here.” He points at a white silky buttoned shirt and a black fancy blazer. “Just change into it. I’m going to pay meanwhile.”
“WHAT!?” Jun finally comes to his senses again. “WHAT?”
“You said that already,” Aiba giggles.
“But you can’t pay this stuff for me! It’s too expensive.”
“I won’t be the one paying,” Aiba grins.
“Besides I don’t even need this. Why did you drag me to this place?”
“Yes, you need it!” Aiba chirps.
Jun gives in. His boyfriend has the weirdest friends ever, really. Nino would never pull off such weird things. Jun frowns. Okay, maybe he would.
When Jun steps out of the cabin, dressed in the fancy things Aiba or whoever just bought, Aiba helps him into a brand-new jacket. “An additional present,” he giggles, before pushing Jun out of the shop and towards a taxi. He makes Jun take his seat, before closing the door. Jun stops the door from closing. “What the hell is going on?” he huffs.
Aiba smiles at him softly. “Have fun,” he says with a bright smile. And. “You are good for him, you know? I have never seen him like that before. He has never been that outgoing and happy before.”
Jun lets the words sink in, confused yet touched by Aiba’s words.
~~~
The taxi halts in front a huge skyscraper, a young man in a suit opening the door to let him get out. The man bows. “Please follow me, sir.”
Jun nods, following the man to the elevator and taking it to the highest floor. They stop at the penthouse, stepping out right into the huge living room. There is a table for two persons, set beautifully with roses and the finest porcelain. He also spots a balcony with a heated outdoor swimming pool, even usable now in winter.
Jun hardly notices how the young man excuses himself to get some champagne. Instead Jun approaches the huge balcony, smiling at the person he meets there. “You didn’t go fishing?”
Satoshi grins dorkily. “I already caught the best fish possible.”
Cheesy! Oh my god. Jun loves it. He happily hugs Satoshi, smiling when he feels his hands under his blazer.
“Six months,” Satoshi smiles happily. “We are together six months.”
“I can’t believe you remember,” Jun stutters. “You tricked me.”
“Sorry for disappointing you first,” Satoshi kisses him softly. “You looked so sad when I left.”
Jun shakes his head. “Don’t you think I’m annoying?”
“For wanting to spend time with me?” Satoshi blinks in confusion.
Jun shrugs.
“Not at all,” Satoshi huffs. “I’m going to kick whoever said that to you to the moon!”
Jun smiles happily. “It’s not important anymore.”
It’s true, he thinks, when Satoshi leads him to the table where a waiter is already waiting for them, promising him they would go swimming afterwards, and then he would show his proper admiration of Jun’s body (the latter was muttered while the waiter was fetching them some red wine). It’s so true, it’s not important anymore what a person once said to him, because now he has Satoshi, and Satoshi treats him with all the love he has.
