Title: Imbalance 10: Hush
Pairing: Sakumoto, Juntoshi

Genre: romance, somewhat angsty?
Plot: It's always been okay for him to be the person in a relationship who loves more.
Note: This is akhikaru 's fault, and also learashi , with their prompt tables and awesome drabble series <3  I've decided to treat this like a challenge. I'm using a prompt-table from lj, and will write these drabbles as they come to my mind, withoug planning anything in advance. It's going to be one story in the end, but the drabbles won't be posted in the correct timeline

This is the correct timeline up to now:  01: Lively, 07: Cut, 10:  Hush, 08 Compromise, 04 Heavy, 05 Forward, 06 Prowl, 02 Remorseful, 03 Dismiss, 09 Impulse

 

Ohno wraps his arms around Jun’s body, pulling him closer to his chest. Compared to Jun’s shrimp-like appearance (at least to Jun he looks like a shrimp.) his arms are strong.

 

He cries. Ohno doesn’t say anything, just hugs him, his fingers brushing over Jun’s cheeks to wipe the tears away.

 

“Why do you love him so much?” he asks softly. “Jun, everything he does is hurting you.”

 

“We hurt each other,” Jun says in return, his voice hoarse. “I’m not better than he is.” Sho is like his drug, he is dependent on his affection, he is addicted to this relationship. “I’m the problem too,” he mumbles, shocked as the realisation suddenly hits him. It’s not only Sho. It’s Sho and him together.

 

“If you would only open your eyes,” Satoshi mumbles. “Only once, and try to see someone next to Sho.”

 

Jun blinks in surprise. “What do you mean?”

 

Satoshi sighs, his thumb brushing over Jun’s cheeks. “I know, we agreed on what we have is just casual, but if you ever change your mind and want someone else besides Sho, think of me, will you?”

 

“Satoshi-san, I…” Jun’s voice trails off, suddenly feeling panicked. Does this mean that Satoshi…

 

Satoshi rolls his eyes, and hugs him tighter. “Don’t overthink it, idiot. I didn’t say that I’m dying of love now, I would just be willing to give us a chance if time is right.”

 

“What if time will never be right?” Jun asks shakily. “Because I will end up dead one day?”

 

Satoshi pulls back, eyes wide “What do you mean?” he asks, sudden worry filling his eyes.

 

“Nothing,” Jun says with a forced smile. He really doesn’t know what he was saying now. “I just didn’t think properly.”



A/N: So, Ohno likes Jun maybe, already when they were teens or students?
I guess at that age though Jun was too much in love with Sho to see anyone else...

I guess Satoshi's presence in Jun's life at that time provides a temporary sanctuary to Jun? At least I can see that Satoshi genuinely wants to help calming Jun and be there with him even if his feelings of love? like? unrequited. So perhaps, with the prolonged unrequited love Satoshi finally gave up in the end? I'm feeling sorry for both of them though

You are right, Satoshi's presence does calm down Jun and he genuinely wants to help, though at this point Jun is probably not able to think about any possible relationships with anyone. Btw. the time Jun and Satoshi were together for real - as a couple - is a lot later (their break-up has different reasons ^^)

Ohno is much more steady than Sho is. Jun's relationship with Sho is destructive, but he is dependent on him which is why he can't let go... But we'll see what the future holds (after all in the current timeline Jun and Ohno broke up very recently)

This part made me feel a bit confused because it sounds like he and Ohno were in some kind of relationship at the moment (although Jun was with Sho)? Hmmmm...
I don't think Satoshi meant to hurt Jun in any way, but I feel that what he's saying to him here isn't helping much :/ Jun's problems are bigger than who he's dating at the moment/might date in the future (or so it seems to me).

Jun and Ohno had a casual thing going, but only when Jun wasn't with Sho. Sho and Jun had an on-off relationship for years, starting from when Jun was around 14 (?) to his mid-twenties. They would break up (some of the reasons why are in the next drabble ^^) and then Sho would date others, and Jun would sometimes go to see Satoshi.
You are right though, Satoshi tries hard to help Jun, but I think saying something like this will only confuse Jun further (and you are right, again, his problems are a lot bigger than oly his messed up relationships)

Hmmm, I must admit that I am a little confused by this one.
Is Jun having a thing with Ohno while he is with Sho?
It certainly seems like Ohno really likes Jun but Jun is so blinded by Sho, he can't see that.

Let me try to bring some light into this ^^
This is in the middle of the timeline. Sho and Jun have an on-off relationship for years, starting in their early teens up to when they are college students and in their twenties. Out of... reasons they often break up, during these times Sho meets other people, and Jun sometimes meets Satoshi. Satoshi seems to care, right?
But I think at this point of the timeline Jun is really too sucked up in this relationship with Sho, and too dependent, he is not ready to think about dating someone else for real.
