Jun’s heart pounds in panic, hands shivering. He isn’t good with masses of people; in general he isn’t good with people, with getting to know them. And now that he is in a new school, at a new place, it’s even worse. Everyone is new.
The dormitory is okay though, he is lucky that they let him stay there despite his young age. Thankfully his uncle managed everything for him and was able to get him into this place at the school and in the dorm. He didn’t want to move countries with his uncle and he didn’t want to go to a place for parentless kids either. The funeral of his father was the first time he met his uncle, apparently Jun met him when he was smaller, but then his uncle and his father fell apart, and they didn’t meet anymore. To Jun’s surprise though the other man only showed him kindness and understanding. He bent everything to Jun’s wishes.
This is the best solution. He just needs to make it through the first days, he doubts anyone will realize he is there anyways.
He is invisible. It’s best not to be here even when you are here. If he could vanish, he probably would. Sometimes he finds himself restless at nights, without sleep, looking at the ceiling and wondering what’s wrong with him, why he is still here, why no one ended it. Sometimes he dreams about a better place in a better world, where he can be someone else and not himself. And then he wakes up the next day, and he realizes he is still there. He is still Jun. And still his father’s son. Still in this world. A vicious cycle.
Jun holds the sheet of paper in his hands like it’s ensuring his safety. He is lost, of course. First day, and he fails. When he stumbles around the corner, he bumps into another guy immediately.
“Hey shrimp,” the guy with blond dyed hair and a piercing huffs. “Watch out.”
“Way to greet one of the new guys, Sho-kun,” another much calmer voice intervenes. The calm voice belongs to a guy that looks nice and chilled. He reaches out his hand and helps Jun up his feet again. “I’m Ohno Satoshi by the way. That’s Sakurai Sho. We are both in the 2nd year.”
“Matsumoto Jun” Jun answers hurriedly. “I’m sorry,” he stutters, eyes wide when he takes in the frame of the two guys. They are one year older obviously, and good-looking “I got lost and wasn’t watching. I’ll try not to do it again.” He wants to sneak away but before he can do so, the angry-looking senpai frowns.
“Where do you think you are going?”
Jun blinks. “To the headmaster.”
“That’s the wrong direction,” Sho-senpai points out, rolling his eyes. “Seems like you can’t do anything on your own.”
Satoshi-senpai narrows his eyes dangerously when he looks at Sho. “We will show you the way.”
“We will not,” Sho argues, and Jun wishes he could disappear somewhere.
“Oh then, I will,” Satoshi states calmly. His voice is soothing, it sounds like it could calm down any storm. To his surprise Jun feels a bit calmer too. “Come with me, Jun-kun. I’ll take you to the headmaster.”
Jun nods his head shyly, not even daring to look at one of them when he obediently follows Satoshi to the headmaster. He turns around for a moment to throw a secret look at Sho. To his surprise Sho is watching them, he doesn’t look angry anymore, rather a bit tired. The look full of tiredness sends tiny jolts through Jun’s body. It’s like he sees himself reflected in Sho’s expression. He knows this look of tiredness, he knows it so well it makes his heart ache and the tightness in his chest stronger.
Sho looks at him for a moment, he isn’t smiling, but he isn’t looking angry either. And somehow it makes Jun unreasonably relieved.
A/N: So this is how Jun met Satoshi and Sho for the first time :-) It starts pretty innocently with a annoyed angry teen version of Sho and always so calm Satoshi ^^ Jun is not in a good place mentally though.

At least Satoshi was kind to him, but I can see that he is already gravitating towards Sho and I really want to stop him.
Thanks for the update dear *hugs*

I'm not sure things would have been better if Jun had been attracted to Ohno first :/ Maybe it would have been a little different, but seeing how he was already in a bad place mentally, him eventually having a breakdown was inevitable (and I'm not sure how Ohno would have dealt with that when he was young, seeing that he was rather passive and still continues being like that as an adult...)
Thanks for the update! :D

I wonder about that too: if Satoshi would have been able to prevent the catastrophe from happening. But Jun was already really broken before he met Sho. I think a breakdown would have happened eventually, but maybe Satoshi would have realized it sooner and we wouldn't have a second breakdown? Not sure though, Satoshi is really young too after all, and I wonder if Jun wanted actual help
