It's going to be one story in the end, but the drabbles won't be posted in the correct timeline

*Disclaimer before you read: This here has description of child abuse. But I promise it's the only drabble of this kind I'll be posting in this series! I was debating with myself if I should write it or not, but I think it's important to understand Jun's decisions later on better.

It’s a beautiful vase Jun dropped. Accidentally. He was cleaning up the living room, trying to do exactly what his mother would normally do. Now that she is not here anymore, the place is becoming messier every day. His father seems to be too sad to clean up, he is just crying a lot and drinking some weird beverage. Jun has sniffed at the glass once when his father feel asleep, coughing from the strong smell. There are empty bottles standing around the kitchen. His father also doesn’t seem to be hungry, because he isn’t eating anything or cooking. When Jun is hungry, he has to basically search for food himself.

Jun bends down to pick up the shards from the floor. When he hears footsteps behind him, he looks up in surprise. “Dad?”

His father has red-rimmed eyes and looks like he hasn’t shaved in weeks. He looks angry too, much to Jun’s surprise. “You woke me up!” His father yells at him. “Watch out more!”

Jun wants to get up and apologize, but before he can do so his father has already hit him hard across his face. He drops down again, the pain so real it makes his breath go away. His father grabs him by his collar and pulls him up and hits him again. At one point Jun tries to cover his face, begging his father to stop. He doesn’t even understand what’s going on. What’s wrong? Did he do something wrong? He cries so much that his head is feeling dizzy.

His father’s hand hits his left cheek, and Jun shifts to the side. He drops down to his side, suddenly feeling how there are thousands of little spikes driving up his skin. It hurts even more than his face does, and he doesn’t even notice how his father stopped beating him. He just sees blood on the floor. It seems to come from him?

His father drives him to the hospital immediately, eyes wide in guilt. Jun scoots away from him as far as possible in the car, his heart still racing. Every part of his body seems to hurt, and his heart is clenching in fear and pain. To his surprise though his father doesn’t yell at him anymore. He even grabs and carries him to the hospital, running to the emergency station.

“What happened!?” one of the nurses asks in shock. “Matsumoto-san, are you and your son alright?”

“I’m alright,” Jun’s father says, his voice trembling in fear. “But Jun… he fell into shards.”

“Oh dear,” the nurse takes him from his father’s arms, leading him towards one of the examination room. She looks at Jun in worry. “Your face looks bad, Jun-kun. What happened?”

Out of the corner of his eyes Jun can see his father looking at him. He is looking so small and so scared. Jun just can’t… he only has him after all, he can’t betray him. What would his mother think one day when they meet again? He loves his father, and his father loves him. They only have each other now. He can’t survive without him. He probably just got so mad because Jun did something terribly wrong. “I…” Jun looks at the nurse, his voice shivering. “Some older kids…”

She frowns almost angrily. “Bullies around town? We need to do something about it.” Then she smiles reassuringly at him. “Poor little Jun-chan, we’ll make you well again.”

Jun nods sadly. He hopes they can indeed make everything well again.

A/N: So, that's basically a huge part of Jun's background story, and whe he is like he is. We'll have a few more drabbles about his past but this is going to be the only one which touches on the abuse part. I wanted to post this to show that Jun being mentally broken started a lot earlier before he met Sho.

Jun is too young to be subjected to violence. Now I understood better. He has such an unhappy childhood and when he found someone he love he wants to cling to that person.
He deserves all Satoshi's love after years of abuse.

Yes, poor Jun :-( His father was really horrible. And Jun of course wasn't able to cope with it. And you are right, when he fell in love later on, he just clung to the person. He just wanted to be loved...
